Rupani needs to ensure that his work is visible. Right now, the only news I get from Gujarat is crime news. At least under Modi there was a lot of news on various projects and investments.
One aspect where Rupani is pretty bad compared to Modi is promotion, and Modi was the biggest source for TRP after 2002 so media used to cover each and everything that Modi was doing, even now the situation is very similar, that is not the case with Rupani, he is a very low profile politician, he is definitely no where near as good as Modi but he is not bad if you compare him to other CMs in history of Gujarat politics, in fact IMO he is the second best CM after Modi

Lot of development work is going on in Gujarat but there is nobody to promote it, even local media is also interested only in negative news stories, nothing else

I am really not sure that having a dashing and dynamic CM has got to do a lot with investment. Investors look at the basics of infrastructure. By any stretch of imagination, ML Khattar (or Hooda) is not a sauve CM, but that is'nt stopping Gurugram from growing at a tremendous pace.

The booze factor has also been overhyped a lot. Gujarat has hundreds of thousands of people from other states working in respectable jobs in the blue-collar industry, and increasingly in the white-collar ones too. I have never seen any of them refusing to move to Gujarat because of this ridiculous reason.

That's a fair point. But my point isn't relating to employees but the employers. A giant like Amazon has various things to consider when they look for a new campus. Amazon's second HQ in the US had a lot of parameters while looking at it.

1 km of land on either side of that stretch can be used to build commercial properties as high as 15 floors, that's what I got from the news...It will look like SG highway of Gandhinagar in next decade or so
