Terrible idea, tel aviv needs less roads for cars and more streets for pedestrians.

Tel Aviv needs both really.
As long as they provide good conditions for pedestrians and cyclists, I have no problem with adding some for cars as well.

It's not adding some cars, it's adding 4 lanes between Ayalon and the new towers strip, they are doing the same planning mistakes
they did ion the past with Azrieli which they are now trying to fix.

Basically you now have the towers strip which is locked between Ayalon (giant road), Begin (giant road),
and they actually managed to squeeze 4 more lanes in between for more cars, this is NOT modern urban planning.

Well, 4 lanes is probably too much.
Have to agree with you there.
I would understand if they added one lane to each direction though.

Tel Aviv Levinsky with and without cars

Israel, Tel Aviv. January 2019/2020

Like many cities in the world, now also Tel Aviv starts to think less car-centric and removed parked and driving cars from densely populated Levinsky street. Both videos are shot in January (winter). Usually, it's more crowded.
It's a one year test period.

*I put this in 2 threads because both are on topic.

Wow! This Emek Bracha bridge is looking great! :-)
I crossed the Yehudit bridge this evening, it was quite lovely. Great bridge and a quick shortcut between the banks of Ayalon. There were many photographers while I spent time there, so we'd probably see many nighttime photos taken from the bridge uploading on various blogs/flicker/etc. pretty soon.

Was there as well.
Somehow the skyline from it, looks much more exciting then even from Azriely bridge connecting to the train station.
Have to say, that not a fun of the stones.
I think they are just a waste of space.

Tel Aviv: 30% rise in new apartments sales in nov19 over nov18,
60% of the buyers were investors.
The main cause were two new projects by gindi
