Beetham looks like he's looking on, keeping watch.

...

I need to stop personifying buildings.

At roughly 30 floors apiece as we speak they are becoming fast the 'giants' of the skyline. The following floor rises will just 'get silly' by UK provincial standards. Our great rival of Birmingham is currently adding two buildings ( one at 90m and one at 96m) to its skyline. To view our tallest at taller than both combined PLUS its 140m sibling ( which by itself would become the tallest were it outside London and Manc' ) needs seeing in perspective.......Manchester is 'smashin' it' with regards to talls.

£200,000 for a nearby new build flat with 2 beds. Would £225,000 be reasonable?

350+ for 3 beds
270+ for 2 beds
180+ for 1 beds
with a variation of ~40k+/- for different heights and aspects
expect service charges to be fairly steep too

Has the smaller of the two moved up a floor- the crane cabin looks to be below the top of the frame ?

I love this picture - the comforting nature of the rain and the buildings against the grey really personifies Manchester.

A couple form a neighbouring penthouse. Not the best day for it, but still terrific views

St. Michael's should nicely fill the gap to the right of Sunlight House - looks like something has been extracted at the moment!

Depending on the weather and quality of the picture, the cladding sometimes looks lighter (blueish) and then sometimes darker (greyish).

Was thinking i know the UK is not a earthquake high risk country/location but when building skyscrapers like these at this height do they some earthquake safety incorporated into the design/construction?

Short answer is no - there is nothing in UK building regs to do with seismic design.

But the long answer is that the strongest earthquake thought possible in the UK would not cause serious damage to most buildings.
