Thank you, though I like the Luzhniki makeover and your Zenit stadium is rather impressive.

If you look carefully you can see me in this picture: I'm in the ATL jersey behind the gold sheet.

You can be made out easily.

Ah, I thought that the maximum capacity was about 71,000 for the NFL. Wikipedia also states 71,000 as the maximum capacity. That number must then be incorrect if you are correct with 76k.

That capacity is the norm for American football but at three points in the upper decks there are sections where seating can be unfolded to increase that capacity. However that's only done for special events, like the SEC Championship game or the Super Bowl. On top of that the venue has several areas which are essentially standing room only - People pay for access to the stadium but not an assigned seat, so you'll find them standing on the balconies in front of the big windows or simply mulling about inside watching the halo board. (Jerry World in Dallas does this, as well.) I think fire codes allow for up to 2k or 3k such tickets to be sold.

In other words it goes (approximately, for fixed seating only) like this:

Gridiron
Normal max: 71,000
Expanded max: 75,000

Soccer:
Normal AUFC: 42,500
Upper level open AUFC: 68,000
Expanded AUFC: 71,000

Add in the standing-room-only sales and that's what you get. So, yes, 71,000 is the normal maximum seated capacity for regular season Falcons games, and since they are the primary tenant the info on Wiki is essentially correct.

8/14/19

On Wednesday night Mercedes Benz Stadium hosted the second annual Campeones Cup. The game was between the winners of MLS (Atlanta United) and the winners of Liga MX (Club America). There was a good number of Club America fans in attendance and the atmosphere was incredible. Atlanta United pulled out the win to become the first MLS team to beat a Liga MX team for a trophy since 1998.

They have added a nice wrapping to the mid tier and west end zone areas, covers up the bare concrete.
