I think I saw something about this earlier this week in one of the papers. I can't remember which... But its good to see that Riverside Dr. will continue to be developed even after recent unfortunate events.

Riverside, James Gichuru and Kileleshwa roads are gridlocked. I wonder how people commute from there. The area has dozens of ongoing projects as well. With the westlands overpass road expansion then it will require all this roads to be dualed and that means a lot of peoples will lose their gates and walls in the process.

Perfect... if this area is turning into a quasi high dense neighborhood, it's time for these developments to lose that gated-in fill.. Make it open, walkable and inviting!!

They will still build them but it will start at their porch. That area is no longer safe. Opportunistic thieves riding on motorbikes are robbing people day and night.

Nope the nairobi roads masterplan has no room for dualling roads here. Only arterial roads are dualled. The expanded uhuru highway and the BRT line will serve riverside. The emphasis is on mixed used development so residents don't have to be in cars. Walking and biking to the nearby areas will be encouraged. Dualling will increase the air pollution the property owners and developers don't want that in a high end neighborhood.
