We've had towers proposed on this site since the mid-60s and all we've had is a sodding hole-in-the-ground car park; I think you're right!

At least a start has been made on this site with buildings partially demolished. I think there will be something on this site before too long

They should try to use some of the facilities while they sit idle. The old register office is the House of Sport still, so why can't they open up the old multi-storey carpark at the rear? Or rather clear the whole space and landscape it into a nice park.

Well, the multi-storey car park has been condemned as being unfit for purpose due to structural problems. Following the shock of the massive amounts of asbestos they found in the little bit of demolition they've already done, the developers are wary about how much it may cost to continue with demolition until they've got solid plans on the table.

As for Dandara, they don't even seem to have a penny to throw in the wishing well, let alone demolish the car park in front of Crowne Plaza.
