Btw, would it be appropriate to start a thread for Mexican baseball stadiums? There's currently 4 (Culiacan, Mexico Df [2], Ciudad Obregon) under construction with 3 planned ( Mazatlan,Puebla [restoration], and Oaxaca), and two other proposals (Merida and Tepic) . That also in addition to the the three finished this year (Hermosillo, Guadalajara, & Tijuana).

An abandoned mall in Branson, MO is going to become a destination youth baseball complex with each field modeled after different famous MLB park.

@Legomanic

Great posts! I was wondering what is the other Ballpark in Mexico city that is under construction? I could only find info about the new Diablos park. I heard Foro Sol is going to be used by F1 now. Will that be exclusive with no more baseball at the facility?

Actually Foro Sol was never a baseball stadium. As I can remember the built this places for massive concerts and then, after the demolition of the old diablos park the found out that Foro sol could hold some games too.
Basically now will go back to it's origins.

I must say that this decision is great. Diablos deserve a decent ballpark and 100% dedicated to the sport.

Beautiful stadium, but the all-turf field kills it for me.

The biggest baseball stadium in Ecuador, yet only 6000 seats. Estadio Yeyo Uraga, in Guayaquil (the only place where the sport is mostly played really, by mostly high schools and amateur sides from multisports clubs):

Nevertherless, Ecuador has won the South American baseball championship twice, and usually fares better than most countries in the region other than Venezuela heh.

Fresno State's baseball field has a natural grass surface except for foul territory in the infield. That seems weird and I have never seen that before.
