Amazing results.

Interesting how the constructors protect the other houses.

There is a project for the garden?

Yes. there is.
many people suggested to make it after living for a few weeks.
I want small patio for both parking and a part of garden in stead of typical concrete parking lot.
with one medium size of tree

the problem is fox shrine
there are two choice. one is north east of house, that is , near bedroom.
it makes something approach like this

and the other is south west near public road.

there is Kimon鬼門(the ‘demon's gate'; the quarter lying to the northeast of one's position)
http://ejje.weblio.jp/content/%E9%AC%BC%E9%96%80

However Shinto priest said " do not worry about direction"
It is good to put it to place your house and all the land in the front。
as for north east ,to put it on is not good for my house and others
so south west is better? all things are in front of Fox shrine.
I know it is superstition though
and my parents want to use these stones for garden
we are keepping so many stones for that behind the convenient store

P1010117 by castermaild 55, on Flickr

our family's fox shrine
Torii gate was demolished this time..

as for electricity and gas use, I chose All-electric house without solar electric generation because there is a house both sides. I worried about lack of sunlight requiring. so I gave it up.
there is City gas under the road by Tokyo Gas beside this house. however I gave it up to use city gas. it is because CHARGING SYSTEM is united.it means there is no basic minimum charge in Gas use.

I considered of my parents life style.
1) disadvantage, to use electricity in day time...High because Time to be in the house is long
2) advantage. Airtightness of this house and (summer is cool and winter is warm though it must use air-condition) ... high
3) gas is far cheaper. TEPCO has an option ( as a Plan A,Day time electricity is a little bit expensive. midnight electricity is cheap( from 11 to 7am). and 13% discount
4) EcoCute tank's capacity is 370L( it would be enough for 2 parsons) in a day. it uses cheap midnight electricity . it is more convenient to use gas. it is fast to heat water up etc

5) IH heater. it is nice for elderly to clean up. no need to use fire.
ecoCute is more expensive than Gas heater

Anyway I chose All-electric house
there are advantage or disadvantage though..
it would be nice if basic minimum charge in Gas use is counterbalanced.

The exterior turned out pretty well. How common are one-story houses in Yamanashi?

it is not so common. maybe it is less than 5%
as you know,one-story house is more expensive than multiple one .cost/ m2
it is called rich house though..
I think it is increasing because old peoples are increasing. they hate steps.
they do not need 2nd floor anymore though i told it is nice for storage

there are so many small stones and broken pieces of roof tiles there.
there are many such place in kofu because of air strike in 1945

these were buried and and it was prepared the land for the construction of a house. my father told me that there was no human remains there

today

my parents move out form a small apartment on 30th June
me and my friends helped them and got some old furniture and mom's Craps into the house.
it is not arranged at all. it has not selected curtains ,their beds and etc yet.
so they are sleeping in an option room
Outside construction will be still a future story.
anyway there are so many stuffs we have to throw away.
these remind me the old house. the saddest one is.. It was possible to live in that old house enough.

I think it should have considered enough storage space like walk in closet at first

001 by castermaild 55, on Flickr

I think these furniture was failed.

Very interesting pieces of furniture , interesting mix as well. I could not expect anything else , really , it shows tradition , love for history and the past

Thanks a lot for sharing !

P.S. Of course , We would love some more , without intruding too much on Your family privacy ....perhaps when the house surroundings are done ?
