I've drove past that so many times and only assumed the ad would be for apple, never actually knew it was

They've put an app in for a digital one on the actual building so I'm guessing the scaffolding will be coming down soonish

Appears unite have opted out of Eastside and picked the science park

170 bed hotel with atleast 100,000 sq ft offices for the HQ this should be quite sizeable!

Didn't we know this? It was said it would be close to the Council offices... I guess Eastside is close too.

It was mentioned for eastside, I'm not sure of eastsides boundaries but I'd put in a seperate area to the science park?

Hope that's not where my work is! One company has already moved out, and mine may have to leave in 18 months time.

Unless it's the Aston University car park that runs along Coleshill Street.

I`d just like to say hello to everybody, even though you`ve all probably gone to bed. I`ve been reading the posts for sometime and I thought I`d join in.

Would that make the big block in the background the Aston uni building? It doesn't exactly look like it. Or could that be a new block built in front of it? How old are these little office buildings that are currently there anyway?

No, it looks to me as a block that either represent the council offices (don't think so, looks too small), or one that hasn't been built yet.

I can't work out where it would be otherwise.

Oh yes, I didn't realise that building was council offices. That's the one I meant anyway. Would be nice to see another building rise in front of it though.

I know it`s a bit off topic but what ever happened to the 1000 apartments proposed by Nikal at Exchange Square?

I`m sure I read that the City Council were aiming to get it through planning by Christmas. I assumed they meant 2014 but I`m beginning to wonder if they meant 2015.

It would be a phenomenal boost for the City Centre, particularly if they were all for private rental, or at least half of them were. Yet again, Birmingham is way behind Manchester, Salford and Liverpool when it comes to this particular tenure.

Typical.

I think the Hive was the tester. Lighthouse has also sold out. They are currently developing detailed plans to be submitted this year.
