Outline Planning Application went in last week from the City Council for 80 houses and flats at Monmouth Drive, Della Drive and Penrith Croft in Bartley Green.

2016/01708/PA

Edit : There were four high rise blocks here before, plus some flats over garages (Over 200 flats in total).

Just read the Design and Access Statement and it seems that the council want these homes to be for Private Rental. The density of the site is just under 40 homes per hectare.

Depends if you are buying or selling really... not great for buyers.

Any chance of a Solihull thread again; things can get a bit lost in here?

Well its does certainly show more confident news for the city as it says house prices are rising , yes slowly but much better than some other areas ie the south east , much to exspensive, at least here a more better rate.

Saw workmen on-site at the Armouries development on Bromsgrove St/Essex St this morning. Could we be about to see a start on this one too?

Edit: this was the Unity House side of the street where they carried out partial demolition last year, not the site used for the main stage during Pride.
