Fingers crossed, the CBK is obviously known for these kinds of developments, let's hope this one doesn't go against that trend.

How tall will it be?

This building will be 27 floors

Quote:
The latest was CBK’s Pension Fund last Thursday, which sought approval for construction of a mixed development property comprising a 300-vehicle parking yard, restaurant, auditorium, offices and a penthouse on its 27th topmost floor.

Doing simple things like creating and releasing well done renders and their accompanying videos beforehand really makes the difference. Wish all large projects in Kenya did this.

This will definitely be an iconic building if it gets built. Great design only if they added few more floors to make it tower over TT!

Is there any empty plot on Haille Selassie, or is something being demolished?

The Central Bank of Kenya CBK) Pension Scheme is preparing to put up a 27-floor building next to the offices of the President, Deputy President and the Police headquarters.

The Sh2.49 billion building will be in the heart of the highly secured Harambee Avenue, mostly occupied by government offices, offering retail and office space to private sector tenants.

The building becomes the latest in a string of new, ongoing or planned structures in the city that has experienced a skyscraper boom in the last five years.
Daily Nation

It's not Vigilance house that's going down since that's the police HQ. It's the building right next to Vigilance house CBK house.

The complaints are more like a warning to be careful with the construction since there are very sensitive offices nearby. But the project will sail through without any major objections since it would add new life into the the already aging CBD.
