I know this is a "Whatever Happened" but I wonted to do a "What If" and not worth starting a new thread

So what if Birmingham was about to build 3 tall tower 235m, 192m, 115m next to each other, what would be a ideal location for them?

Agreed, though the "quiet" spell as lasted since last summer tbh, strange when Brum is now in a development "frenzy" not seen since the 1960's. Maybe we're a dying breed!..😕

Probably partly due to the weather. People would rather be out enjoying the heat and rightly so. We still get regular updates so I don't think we need to worry.

Surely a job for a seconded-to-the-Mainland, Jersey Detective is in order here?

Whatever happened to all the proposals in front of and to the side of Edgbaston Cricket Ground. Really let's down the stadium with wasteland all around it

Whatever happened to the proposals to the front and side off Edgbaston Cricket Ground, the wasteland surrounding the stadium really let's it down when visitors arrive and the cameras are filming outside the ground.
With developments being announced almost weekly, you'd think we might get one new proposal 😕

The Royal Angus hotel at St Chads looks to me like its closed for good, never mind a makeover. Sorry sight all boarded up. Anyone know what's happening with it?

Still open, very hidden temporary entrance under the new gym, but you're correct it doesn't look great, some graphics wouldn't go a miss.

Rather than bumping the thread.
What's going on with Unity House & The Armouries, Bromsgrove St?

The site doesn't even need clearing, seems good to go and the recent proposals look really good quality (although street level needs a bit of work).

Whatever happened to:

..Work starting on the new Selly Oak Retail Park and Science Center, building was due to start in 2016, we're nearing Q4 of 2017 and still a huge plot of clear land.

UOB now own the Science Centre, we have Sainsburys and multiple other retailers signed up for the Retail Park and access from the new road, I don't get what the hold up is.

Hasn't been anything major happening at Connaught Square in Digbeth, at least not until Fabrick Square gets completed.

And what about the rest of Eastside Locks?

Speaking for myself lads, work has been nuts and I'm busy trying to renovate my flat. Sorry I've been away, I am still lurking in the background!

Would have though summer hols would be a quiet time on any forum - if you're not taking the kids on holiday you're probably taking the wife/girlfriend somewhere.

Had a walk around Eastside yesterday and came on this thread to raise this very question. If I remember correctly, they were originally supposed to be pressing on with the second building, plus the Belmont Works restoration, immediately after the first building was completed.

I think it was then said that there would be a pause, but this has now been going on for an ominously long time. Very disappointing in view of (a) the quality of the first building (which I think shows up the adjacent Associated architects buildings) and (b) the fact that it was snapped up straight away by the university. It's becoming depressing to see the ruin of Belmont Works remaining untouched.
