We can expect to see renderings in the next few weeks.

I wonder what sort of design we'll get. The site footprint is L-shaped by the way.

So it should be around 175m-180m? Any possibility it could be a bit taller?

Didn't Alllies & Morrison have an open day as part of architecture week or has that already happened , as , similar to Wilkinson Eyre they will prob be models of recent stuff hanging around.

There will be dozens available in the planning application. There always are.

I just realised something. This tower wasn't meant to be starting until 2011/12. However, the planning laws were changed recently which means all new towers have to commence groundwork within 3 years of receiving planning permission. This tower is being submitted next month, so assuming it's approved in early 2007 we can expect it to start work by early 2010. Still a long way off, of course, but a little earlier than we previously thought.

Reported today that GPE has forward sold there Tooley rd development to UBS- Might encourage them to start this scheme or there blackfriars scheme sooner rather than later.

How do you know the renderings are gonna come out in the next few weeks?? If it's true, I'll be dam happy! It's been quite a while since I saw renders of a new skyscraper project, hope it's better then the last City proposal (bleeding walkie talkie!).

I await with anticipation!

Well, the planning app is being submitted next month, and it will be publically available to view (in the Guildhall, I believe). By law, the developers will have to show renderings from dozens of different angles and views, etc.

The planning app should be going in within a matter of days; expect to see renderings soon.

Just walked past the adjoining site, which was all boarded up with scaffolding and hoardings, etc.

I thought it was being demolished at first, but in fact they're just refurbishing it.

I take it the application is going in this week?

I can't wait to see renders of this!

It will make 7 skyscrapers in the actual city cluster (Excluding the still-possible Minerva, and any we don't lnow about)

Knowing Allies & Morrison (and this goes for the Stratford 55-storey tower as well) it will be a blocky tower, but with good detailing and high quality cladding, usually incorporating a strip of colour to each window. But we will see.
