What exactly makes this "The best stadium in the world". Is it going to just be a 75000 seat stadium with a literally "smashing" exterior?

What an authentic concept for a stadium!!Making the connection between the football club and the community through the stadium. The designer definitly has a deep understanding of the meaning of sport arena. That is some great artchitecture out there.

it is surely one of the best stadia in the world, atleast I like it very much. I do not believe in sayings as the best (concerning buildings, this I think you can only say in sport, you could say Italy is worldchampion and so they are the best, not with buildings mop)
But my question is, what does this design still have to do with the original design?

It looks great on the renderings.
Will be interesting to see how it will come out.
Does anybody have any information about the financing of this stadium?

Of course. Now they have 42.000 associates, and more than 20.000 in waiting-list. The actual capacity is 53.000. And every week the stadium is plenty

No, but if it's just a 75000 seat stadium, there really isn't that much to make it any better than Sun Devil Stadium or any other stadium in the world. There are hundreds of 75000+ seat stadiums in the world, what exactly singles this out as the best?

I for one think it could be the best in the world when completed. Just make sure the Brits don't find out someone is building the best instead of their precious Wembley.

A bunch of people here are talking about how the inside is just another generic bowl. I'm interested to know exactly what these people feel could be done to improve the inside of a stadium? Build it like Old Trafford? Or maybe like the Ricoh Arena?

OAKA is nice and all, but it's basically little more than an OTT variation of a general external stadium shape that was also used in Sydney and, indeed, Hong Kong stadium. The fact that the roof is held by suspension and has a few waves in it does not make the stadium special in any way whatsoever.
