Get used to it - he always likes to show off his latest creations! Plus, if he had got all the information, he would have changed the title to have included number of floors and the height.

For a quick moment, I thought they were real too! I've given up on this tower anyway. I think we've got a bit more of a wait on our hands. Ah well, let's hope the wait is worth it!

ahh indeed. Hopefully its even better than Woodys mockup!! If it is to achieve the status as biggest in the city it must be quite tall, lets hope its not a long wait!

I though it was real too, would be lovely if it was though, especially at that height, doubt we will get anywhere near 200m in reality.

Very interesting, even at ~200m it doesn't look too overbearing when next to BST and with the step up from Hyatt. A very good piece of work Woody.

Maybe he does know something about it, and this is a teaser...? *hopes*

apologese people, i just thought i'd re-ignite this thread. so i thought i would just give an indication og what would be perfectly feasible on this site, most dont appreciate how big it actually is!!!!!

i know very little bout this project so much so i was as shocked as everyone else when this made frnt page news.

i am confident that we will get something decent on this site. ok, 211m is a little OTT and the BP isnt the best, but having now worked with them on snowhill plaza, im more confident that they do at least search for information which is realistic..... they got their news from somewhere!

From Locate Birmingham's first 2008 Issue of Birmingham Developments.http://www.locatebirmingham.com/file/290

Quote:
Unnamed Regal development £150m
Planning consent has been granted for 130 apartments and
restaurant on site between Sheepcote Street and Novotel
Hotel on Broad Street. There are now plans to extend the
scheme with a skyscraper-style tower incorporating a luxury
hotel and conference facilities.
Like the sound of 'skyscraper-style tower' but that could really mean anything. We could get a 140 metre replica of the Chrysler Building - it might not be a skyscraper but it certainly is a skyscraper-style tower .
