Cambridge is one of my favourite cities to visit. It seems to be very traditonal england which there is not enough of anymore.
The small streets, amazing architecture, beautiful parks and LOADS! of bicycles.

In the summer, the water is warm enough to swim in but don't stay too long, it's not the Med!!

I've never been to Barafundle Bay but i've heard it's one of the best beaches in Wales, maybe i'll take a trip down there in the summer

Water temperature is relative!! Of course it is not bath water temperature!! We just love it though, getting in the water at first can be painful but after a while it is delicious and makes you feel alive all over. However, we may have something of the polar bear in us!!! We visit South Wales every year! We find it paradise. Last May we went swimming twice a day in all conditions. We enjoy the cliff walks too. Wales has so many tints of green. Spring is the best time when the wild flowers make their first appearance. Of course, the gulf stream keeps the water warmer. Today we'll post a photo of our son on Barfundle Beach;the Welsh climate seems to bring the Tarzan out in him!!!

The north of England today, the ancient city of York.

This statue outside York Minster commemerates the proclamation of Constantine the Great as Roman Emperor which took place here in AD 306.

Great job Jonesy!
May I suggest some pic from Arundel Castle, Chicester and Bath?

You may suggest anything you wish, whether I pay any attention to your suggestions though is an entirely different matter

In the NE/NW, water temperature in summer is around 14-16C. In the SW the water temps are about 17-19C, SE/central south coast 17-20C.

It can get up to 22-23C on parts of the central southern coast though during hot summers.

The 1022m Buachaille Eltive Mor near Glen Coe in the Scottish Highlands - one of Britain's prettiest mountains. The "one pic" is the first one. The others are bonuses.

great effort guys, there are some stunning traditional village towns in this country. we should give them more acknowledgement.

its great that such a small country can have great diversity.

Today a picture of the UK's very own part of the low countries and the North European plain, the Norfolk Broads.

The waterways which are popular for boating holidays in this low lying area of reed marshes, traditional cottages and windmills that fades out into the North Sea, were previously thought to be a natural feature but recent investigation has shown that they were created by human activity (mostly peat excavation) over 1000 years ago firstly by Romans and then by the medieval inhabitants of the region.

COnwy Castle, North Wales. Built between 1283 and 1289, Conwy is one of a ring of castles built around Wales by English king Edward I to reinforce English dominance over the Celtic savages
