Portmeirion.Wales.

Portmeirion is an Italianate resort village in Gwynedd, on the coast of Snowdonia in North Wales. The village is located near Penrhyndeudraeth.
Portmeirion has served as a location for films and television shows, notably The Prisoner.

Portmeirion is great, been there several times, it's a beautiful setting with some great coastline and mountains nearby.

Cheddar Gorge - Somerset

From wikipedia: Cheddar Gorge is the largest gorge in the United Kingdom[1] near the village of Cheddar in the Mendip Hills in Somerset, England. The gorge is the site of the Cheddar Caves, where Britain's oldest complete human skeleton, Cheddar Man, estimated to be 9,000 years old, was found in 1903.[2] Older remains from the Upper Late Palaeolithic era (12,000 - 13,000 years ago) have been found.[3] The caves, produced by the activity of an underground river, contain stalactites and stalagmites.

Cheddar Gorge, including the caves and other features and attractions located there, has become a popular tourist destination. In a 2005 poll of Radio Times readers, following its appearance on the 2005 TV programme Seven Natural Wonders, Cheddar Gorge was named as the second greatest natural wonder in Britain, surpassed only by Dan yr Ogof caves.[4] The gorge attracts about 500,000 visitors per year.

Yeah, it looks gorgeous - i've always found it intriguing, it's not the type of landscape you'd expect to see in the UK...the south of France perhaps.

St David's is a lovely little place

We didn't have one yesterday so today it's a bonus.

Over the water to Northern Ireland for the first time today, Strangford Lough is a favourite weekend retreat for the inhabitants of Belfast, ringed by pretty villages, good fishing and 70 islands in the lough. It is also an important wildlife reserve that is home to many migratory wading and sea birds, seals and basking sharks.

Nice one You can't beat a bit of Stonehenge, nearby Avebury stone circle and Silbury Hill are also cool and there are lots of other smaller neolithic remains around the UK.

Today, a view over Newcastle-upon-Tyne, the glass building in the background is the SAGE concert hall.

Tresco, one of the isles of Scilly off the coast of Cornwall in SW England. The white sandy beaches, peaceful villages, clear waters and warm climate make this a great holiday destination.
