He is really good at beating people its just the final ball, if he could get this right he could be excellent; especially in this league.

Delighted with the result - back to the top we go and more importantly 6 points clear of the team in 3rd, 8 points clear of the team in 4th (who we play at home next week) - Hopefully we now start to create a bigger gap between the sides below us

The match was shit BUT not overtly bothered about the performance - going away to Preston was always going to be about the result primarily.

Harewood is garbage, cant believe Hughton started him and then why on earth did he bring Carroll off? Joke of a decision

Was hoping Pancrate got some minutes so we could see what he was like

Jonas is a frustrating player - has plenty of quality, he just needs to work on that final ball

3 points is 3 points, and I'm not going to be fussy about how we get them agaist teams who around the playoff's etc away from home, or indeed at home, because these 3 points could be more like 6 points come end of the season.

I do agree though, must do better.

Jonas for me though was MOM. I don't know if his goal has lifted his confidence abit or he was just taking advatage of a week wing player for PNE, but either way he was the pick of the bunch of them today.

Kadar has alot to learn, and I was disapointed with Lovenkrands coming for Guthrie at the end, seems to be the wrong type of change when you are holding out for a 1 goal lead. Unless he was injured there was no excuse for it.

If Jonas could finish and supply great crosses then he wouldnt be playing for us right now. He would be playing for a top CL team. Its as simple as that. Superb at taking people on and graft but terrible crossing and shooting.

How crap is Harewood? I thought at first it might be due to poor fitness BUT he has not improved during his time here. Ranger did more in his 30 mins than Harewood did in 90 mins

Tough game tomorrow, it's hard to predict this one, so I'm going to let my heart rule my head and say 1-0 Newcastle, just.

Swansea is going to be a tough match so im not overly confident about a comfortable win - I reckon it might just be a draw

I just hope Harewood doesnt start, the guy is shocking

Team V Swansea

Steve Harper, Danny Simpson, Steven Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini, Jose Enrique, Danny Guthrie, Alan Smith (c), Kevin Nolan, Jonas Gutierrez, Peter Lovenkrands, Marlon Harewood
Subs: Tim Krul, Zurab Khizanishvili, Ryan Taylor, Kazenga LuaLua, Tamas Kadar, Fabrice Pancrate, Nile Ranger
Gutted Harewood is starting - the guy is clearly rubbish. Would rather play with one up front

Also not keen on Guthrie playing because he gets although he gets picked to play wide right he always ends up playing more central as that is his natural position, especially at home when we should be exploiting the wide positions. I do think Guthrie is a good player BUT he should only play in the centre

GFutrie is a good player, but hearing his name in the midfield always says to me, "weak link" for some reason, maybe it's because on FM he's my weakest midfield player, I don't know. Harewood is one of those players who can be shocking, but can also produce that moment of brlience from nowhere, which when you look at how well Ranger is doing and not getting goals, it's something that we need.

Like I said yesturday though, this game doesn't give me the most confidence.
