Building in bricks

This thread is for innovative uses of crystalline ceramic materials in construction (primarily bricks, but also other ceramic structures, but excluding glass), highlighting constructions made fully or substantially in ceramics. This also includes discussion on advantages and disadvantages of ceramics, costs, challenges, and sustainability.

This title should be building in ceramics but for historical reasons I kept the most common case of building in ceramics instead, masonry. For the same reason non-ceramic bricks will be on-topic in this thread, like this brick house.
