It would have been bad if there where no options. Besides charges are per KM. The 12,000 will be for one completing the entire journey from Mlolongo to James Gichuru to and from and I highly doubt the bulk of the users will be doing the entire stretch for their daily commute.

The fact that there are different entry points and exits on the Toll road, one can choose to enter or exit at any point depending on the traffic condition. For example there are days traffic is not bad then to save money you can choose to use the regular road. If at some point I find the traffic is bad on my next entry point I can join the toll road.

Another point is BRT which will be added. Not forgetting that there is also the Commuter train that is also being improved. Do we just like to complain about anything to get clout or seem politically correct or what?

True, but CRBC could inflate the cost to justify higher tolls and make huge profits. The govt has to do it's own audit

Also 11KM 4 lane heavy and dense steel cage viaduct from foundation to side barriers stretched will be equal to how many Km of Railway? Its good we interogate the numbers but not sure how far we will get to see the Bill of quantities and compare apples to apples.

How is a company that's trying to make max profits on the toll road supposed to run an efficient BRT system on the lower road that will be loss making and could reduce potentially reduce the number of cars on the toll road? Conflict of interest?
I'm sorry but it doesn't make sense, sielewi.

Also, the price was around 150 per trip, it's now at 300 with no explanation given. Good project, poor deal

The Toll price is seems to be coming from research done gov. even before CRBC came into the picture since the gov has been considering introducing tolling several roads. Research was done years back at they they saw a figure of 6 bob. After adjusting to inflation thats where the figure 11.25 is coming from. Its the same figure that will be applied to Nairobi-Mau summit toll.

BRT is a separate project and it has not even been tendered. We don't know which company will build and operate it.
