Ok. Thanks for the info. So now it's in a "passive" stage of construction?

BTW, i've seen the updates on the local Azeri forum. There's some heavy construction going on. No wonder that everybody says that they "cannot take photos", or that it's too far from the city center...That's an abandoned land my friend. U/C means something else... Show me a screwdriver, a worker, a tool, something...

Why didn't you just post these photos on the international section from the beginning? Instead you keep telling us that it's under construction, when it's more than obvious that it's not.

First it is not a part of your business whether the topic is here or there. U/C is its official status but I agree that currently there is not much activity on the site due to the reasons I mentioned in my previous post. Anyway groundbreaking ceremony has been held and the completion of the stadium has been set up to the end of 2014 so let's see.

Under construction means that this project is no longer planned, it's already being implemented. That stage started as soon as they did the groundbreaking ceremony and set timelines. If someone enters the zone with a screwdriver (BTW, good luck finding a stadium being built with screwdrivers), will you be feel better about it?

If I wasn't mistaken, looking from their own local forum, they still busy groundbreaking. The bid committee (Baku 2020 Olympic Bid Committee) planned it will be 80k seats during Olympics and reduced to be 65k seats before and after Olympics.
Further information, Try check their webpage, in their e-book.

I heard that Pasha Construction company won the tender and they sublet Project Management to MACE. Now MACE is negotiating with various consulting companies as lower tier supervisors. Pasha is going into a new organisation to sublet the construction works.

I heard that Hill International got the project.
MACE can not handle this project itself...

Which one is correct? MACE or HEERIM for PM?
Why there is not an official announcement about this tender?
