The more complex work will be the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro, because it is a building with the outside horse. Catia Castro The architect responsible for the project, explains that the project is modified almost daily.
What do they mean by "It is a building with the outside horse?"

Maracana will have the same kind of led lights used in Alianza Arena so they can use the colours of the team that is playing. (Fluminense and Flamengo)

Are there any renderings showing the stadium from the outside so that we can see how this will become possible?

The facade of the stadium is knocked over, so on the outside of the stadium will not have major changes;

"As a building with a facade tumbled."

That is, you can not change the face of the stadium.

Maracana, as Berlim's olympic stadium, cannot be fully transformed. The facade needs to be preserved and that's why de reformulation will just bring over it's original form. The major intervention will be inside and at the top, with the new roof supoorted by a steel crown.

Still the stadium will sure look like a new one when it's done.

Just to get this right...From what I understood there won't be LEDs similar to those existing in the facade of the Alliaz Arena but instead the traditional grey columns and beams cannot be redisgned and have to remain as they are currently...right?

I'm sorry but where are LED's in Allianz Arena's facade?

I thought they meant this:

when speaking of colours lighting the stadium

It will look probably like that but better. And not like Allianz.

So this video shows how the LED's Allianz Arena.

At Maracana certainly will not be so likely to be used LED also but not this way.

Nice job, why don't those guys tear down both of the Maracana's tiers in their entirety while they're at it?

Exactly, the news puts the Allianz Arena LED as a reference, and I wanted to show how the LED to be used in Markan has nothing to do with that used in Allianz.

A WorldCup final and a football-nation like Brazil would have deserved more than just a 82k stadium. They should have lowered the pitch or something and make a 100-110k stadium. We all have the Maracana in our memories, like the biggest football arena in the world, even if it was surpassed by a few other venues in the last decades. But now it will become an average, boring stadium. Even the South Africans managed to build a bigger stadium.
It's a pity... This WorldCup could have been the chance for the Maracana to regain it's glory...

The pitch canoot be lowered again!

If they did that, there would be some blind-spots in the 2nd tier!

The stadium will have a bigger capacity after the WC.

I totally agree, wouldn't be easier to make brand new tiers and what's more important - make them more steepy and dig more into the ground?

I wish the 2nd tier should remained oval, but steeper. 1st tier should be more rectangular (for example like in Cape Town Stadium) of course the pitch lowered a lot. Between them a small tier of skyboxes.
I made a quick model of my idea:

1st tier ~35000, 2nd ~60000 total: 95000

^ I erased a piece of roof to show how it could look.

what do you think about it?

Nice job!

But this is how Maracanã looks right now, except for the 1st tier.

The pitch is not going to be lowered because of the blind-spots!

I think the official project is more aproppriate! But yours seems to respect the original shape of Maracanã.

Could you make you make your model with seats color in this pattern (Copacaba sidewalk)?:

thanks well, actually I made the 2nd tier steeper, so there won't be any blind spot. That's why it makes me wonder why they don't want to tear down the whole 2nd tier and made it steeper and dig deeper into the pitch? I'd understand that if it's not possible to make (technical) or the cost for this would be too huge...

Is that official color seats pattern?
Looks weird
