Dang it, Cancun over new years is freaking expensive. For a decent hotel and flights for 2 it comes to 5k.

Need to think of something else or look for something new for that kind of money.

As you set out for Ithaka
hope the voyage is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
angry Poseidon—don’t be afraid of them:
you’ll never find things like that on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,
as long as a rare excitement
stirs your spirit and your body.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
wild Poseidon—you won’t encounter them
unless you bring them along inside your soul,
unless your soul sets them up in front of you...

Going to have an amazing week long trip with a university group, from Stockholm to Tallinn to St Petersburg to Helsinki to Stockholm.

Yes, though on ferries rather than on a fancy boat.

The ferries are quite convenient between the cities, and I do think that this is a great way to get from one to the other,

I'm sure I will, not in Stockholm that long though, ten hours or so both ends of the week.

My Greece trip is confirmed ( in 2 weeks ) and now planning for Dec trip to Spain..

Need an advice especialy those who've flown with Turkish Air.
From Dubai to Barcelona the cheapest fares are by Pegasus Air @ $550 and Turkish Air @ $690 roundtrip , both via Istanbul
There is no meal & personal TV on Pegasus. Do u think it's worth paying extra USD140 to fly on Turkish Air ? Are meals on Turkish Air good ?

Am still on backpacker mood ( without checked luggage ), don't mind difference on transit time ( Istanbul is super awesome city to transit in ) and don't mind paying extra $140 if quality of food is great

I started 2014 with a 2-month trip around South America (Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay) and also just spent 4.5 days in Istanbul last week.

The next 3 major trips I have planned are:

Himalayas (Nepal, Bhutan, Kashmir, Ladakh)

Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador (incl. Galapagos Islands)

Indonesia, East Malaysia, Brunei

For Father's Day I sent my Dad to space!

He ascended to 103,000 feet (19.5 miles high) before the space weather balloon he was carried on popped over Death Valley National Park, California. He experienced a 212 degree swing in temperature, a 100-fold change in air pressure, and a 25-fold surge of radiation. GO DAD GO!!!

Had an awesome weekend trip to Rømø, with brief visits to the old city of Ribe and down across the German border..

It couldn't really have gone any better - just a shame I only had a 3 days weekend

I'll do a photothread later, here's a a few shots from this weekend

Rømø - Beach

Rømø - Heath

Ribe - Old Town

Don't wanna meet-up in Athens ? I know no one there. I'll be very happy if someone ( local guys & girls ) can show me around
