I remember watching some odd porn flicks on arte...or maybe that was a different channel. They were definitely French though. Can anybody confirm that arte shows x-rated movies?

I saw some porn on ARD-Festival. I think you mean that, because they are sharing transmitting time with Arte.

Arte organized "thematic" evenings, and some of them are about sexuality, but not porn movies lol

I once saw a borderline-porn film starring Rocco Siffredi on ARTE.

hello alex, i'm french but i can give you some current sentence

english = german 1) when you know the person, like a friend, 2) when you don't know the person or if he/she very respectable

-how are you = 1) wie geht es dir 2) wie geht es ihren
-what's your name = 1) wie heiSSt du 2) wie ist ihr name bitte
-how old are you = 1) wie alt bist du 2) wie alt sind sie

i = ich
you = du
he = er
she = sie
it = es
we = wir
you = ihr
they = sie

good morning = guten tag
thank you = danke
please = bitte

german can confirm or correct me if i am wrong...
