At least Sec Tugade still has some ongoing projects, not to mention ending other stupid transport stuff like Tanim Bala at the airports, lack of driver's license cards and plates. Seriously, Joseph Emilio Aguinaldo Abaya is just so bad how can anybody say he is better than Tugade or any other Transport Sec (except Mar Roxas, which is another idiot).

Grabe, ang taas ng sensitivity level pag may batikos kay Sec. Tugade ah.

The LRT based on its alighment will interchange with MRT 7 if I'm not mistaken underground at QC Circle.
Good idea. This thread is locked for now but if there is news that there is a hint of progress or if the DOTr changes its mind again and not push through with the Quezon Avenue BRT, then send me or the other mods a PM and we will reopen.

The East West Rail is still apparently pending so I will re-open this thread for now.

From the MRT-10 thread...

Quote:
Investment council to decide on 13 unsolicited proposals by 2019 —PPP Center

The Investment Coordination Committee (ICC) will decide on at least 13 unsolicited project proposals next year, the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center said Thursday.

The decision would simply revolve on which of the projects to drop, or pursue, PPP Executive Director Ferdinand Pecson said.

“We’d like to see the decision on these projects next year,” he told reporters in a press conference in Quezon City.

The unsolicited proposals include five airport projects, five rail projects, and three other projects in different sectors.

Meanwhile, the five rail projects include:
  • Davao Monorail Project of Udenna Corp.
  • East-West Rail project of East-West Rail Transit Corp.
  • Metro Rail Transit (MRT) 10 of C5 Mass Transit Corp. Ltd.
  • Fort Bonifacio-Makati Sky Train of Infracorp Development Inc.
  • Modified Light Rail Transit Line 6 (LRT-6) Project of Prime Asset Ventures Inc.

I noticed. Where is the BRT in the picture? It's also in the works. Are they trying to make the East/West rail and BRT compete for.....?????

Who knows but remember, the article is stating that those projects need to be decided. The decision can go either way, and if East West Rail was not approved by the investment council, thread gets locked. The approval of this investment council is just one of many steps East West Rail, as well as all those other projects, need to overcome before they really come to fruition.

Do we know how the Investment Council decide on projects? What are the criteria used? Where does the PPP come in?

As long as projects are PHP2.5 billion and above, it would undergo the NEDA process. Also, both solicited and unsolicited proposals are subject to ICC approval first then endorsement NEDA Board (chaired by the President).

Alas! UST will build a bridge from Qpav to the on going construction site across Espana connecting its 23flr SHS building(formerly Isabel bldg.) to the main campus. This is the reason why the dominicans dont want an LRT in front.

Is this project still alive or still pending decision? IMO they have to decide one way or the other because DU30s term is up in 3 years.

Mataas ang sensitivity level not because of the criticism of Tugade, but for the comparison to Pabaya.
