Not sure if this has been shared already, but interesting nonetheless and gives a timeline of progress (accurate or not).
That's very interesting, thanks.

It was published quite recently too, so you'd like to think the timeline was fairly accurate. That said, the footbridge and canopies are shown as being complete by the handover in the autumn, and yet work has barely started, so it looks ambitious!

My thought exactly, plus I was under the impression the main building was to be built before the footbridge - though I'll admit it wasn't based on any concrete information, more of an assumption based on what I've read/heard. I guess we will see soon enough

The current fenced off area is smaller than the one shown. In the video the construction portacabins are right up next to the station entrance.

Great stuff, but you'd never get a Pendelino heading east on Platform 3

I shall look forward to arriving at the new station on the 21st October next year.

Does anybody know if the ugly (blue brick and concrete block) bridge walls on Warwick Road are likely to be refreshed / replaced as part of this work?

They've closed the Virgin First Class Lounge on platform 1 which is massively annoying.

Initially the sign said reopening on September 1st but since then Virgin have lost the WCML contract to First/Trenitalia and now even the sign has gone and zero work has happened inside, they've also removed any reference to it from their website.

Hopefully the new contract holders will reopen it and continue with the reciprocal 1st class West Mids Network agreement that Virgin have/had when they take over in December (hopefully they'll employ the current staff too), the upgrade is a cheap way to get a comfy seat and free coffee on the morning commute.

Amazing how quickly perception can change.

When F1 was built it looked a half decent size. Now with all the subsequent uni residences it's looks pretty small.

If the uni stuff had been done first I think the heights of this development would've been higher and it'd have been even harder to get going
