No Italian name for Gressoney ? In Arpitan, it means "Watercress bed" (gresson=watercress + -ey=collective suffix from latin -etum/-etam) : it should be Crescioneta San Giovanni.

It would sound good!
Unlike South Tyrol, just French toponyms in A.V. (except Aosta). I gave up understanding how does it work long time ago.

Those wonderful views of Tuscany, at dusk, are among the very few things that make me happy and proud to live in this country.
Besides reminding me of Barilla commercials.

Barilla commercials are masterpieces, a real paean to the Italian way of life.
I remember at least two commercials with Tuscan countryside though.

Which one?
(besides ).

63. No pics of Florence were posted yet, so we'll stay there for a couple of days. This is San Lorenzo square, the main market district in town, just in front of the Medici chapels.

64. Florence again, Piazza della SS. Annunziata.
You can see the equestrian statue of Ferdinando I de' Medici, Granduke of Tuscany, made with the bronze of Turkish cannons, and of course the dome of Florence Cathedral by Filippo Brunelleschi, the largest masonry dome in the world and probably the very symbol of Renaissance.

I need to visit Firenze and Toscana, is there any time I can go when it will not be full of tourists? That's the only problem with the most beautiful places in the world, everybody knows about it

October and November maybe?
Pleasant weather (a bit rainy), lots of sagre in the country and not too many crowds.

Or May and the first half of June if you don't want to to carry around coats and umbrellas.
