The earliest it could be completed for, if it was to start now would be the start of Sept 11 Uni. I think it will happen eventually, just have to be patient, although i wouldn't be too bothered if it didn't happen, there could be a much better looking building on there, maybe following the Art Deco theme with similar buildings close by.

Looks like this one has started as when I passed it on the bus on the way back from the pub tonight I noticed there are diggers on site as well as containers and a site office

Good news. Looks like it wasn't on hold for too long after all. Thread title could be adjusted to U/C.

Post it in the Name Changing Thread.

Yes, i went past about 2 weeks ago, good to see it starting again, will change the look of that area quite a bit I imagine. May also see mopre bars/restaraunts spring up down there with even more students living closely.

Any photographs of this development? Can't say I've been in the area for quite some time.

Good news. Only Dunning Street remains on hold and hopefully they'll secure funding in the near future.

Looking at this building on the MBC planning site it looks quite substantial ,being over 6 floors and stretching the full length of the site ,it should make quite an impact down this part of Linthorpe Road

Yeah, it's of a scale which you'd expect to see in the centre of Middlesbrough. Can't be bad for the students, though. It'll be far better accommodation for them than the housing in the area available to rent.

I notice the approved floor height has changed from five (in the thread title) to six. Are there any new renderings to go with this, as I wasn't too keen on the cladding.

No the only rendering I have seen is the one with the garish colours ,I think something more on the lines of the Qube colours would look a lot better
