Valldaura Labs | Metro Area

Project Description: Restoration of Can Valldaura, a masia (catalonian country house) from 1888. Development of an habitat-laboratory for the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC).

Futuro Hard Rock Hotel Barcelona 2022

Hard Rock Hotel Barcelona estará ubicado en San Adriá de Besós, en un terreno de adquirido por la firma inmobiliaria ASG, socio del grupo americano en el proyecto. Contará con 504 habitaciones, abrirá en 2022 y supondrá una inversión de 200 millones de euros.

Si aquest és el projecte final.... hi ha per deprimir-se.
Sant Adrià el nou Lloret? Aquest hotel és dels pitjors edificis en temps... i a sobre a primera línia de mar? arquitectura de promotor per enriquir-se i fugir, sense que importi lo més mínim millorar l'espai.

La mateixa merda que han fet a tot el front del riu Besós. Sant Adrià té un greu problema de sensibilitat i cultura arquitectònica. Espero que no la caguin amb "la sagrada família de l'electricitat", perquè si mirem el seu històric és depriment.
Un poble amb riu i platja!!!! hauria de ser quasi una zona de luxe.... i tenim això!

No es un diseño final es una representación... pero el diseño definitivo será diáfano y con terraza por habitación para aprovechar las maravillosas vistas al puerto y al mar con lo cual se puede acercar a lo visto en esta representación... hagan lo que se haga estará bien.. porque es una zona muy degradada que hace muchos años que nadie se fija en ella... a mí no es un diseño que me desagrade... estamos hablando de Hard Rock Hotels no es cualquier marca con lo cual todo el diseño tendrá la calidad de un establecimiento de lujo, con lo cual tenemos asegurado acabados de calidad...
Es una gran noticia que seguramente le va a dar un valor a la zona del Forum y a todos los locales libres del puerto que no tienen salida en este momento... todo este proyecto se suma al parque que se está haciendo al otro lado de la ronda al lado del campus universitario, más el puente que se construirá para conectar esta zona última con la del Forum... estamos hablando que la zona se va a convertir en un referente de la ciudad... atraera nuevos proyectos y dará muchísima vida a esta parte de la ciudad que ahora mismo está denostada... ahora solo falta que el Ayuntamiento se ponga las pilas y termine de urbanizar el Frente Marítimo y que le dé un uso definitivo a la plataforma ganada al mar que iba a ser el zoo marítimo..ojala sea zona verde!

En cap cas volia dir que no estigui a favor de que s'edifiqui la parcel.la. I també espero que tard o d'hora aquella zona quedarà ben acabada urbanísticament, tot i que un hotel allà al mig si no el conecten amb ponts, doncs no sé... ara bé, la qualitat del disseny, per més que es gastin els calers en acabats de luju és molt pobre, poc fantasiosa i pròpia d'altres models.

Un edifici pot estar fet amb dos euros d'acabats i ser una autèntica obra mestra.

Fisrt of all, sorry for my english.

In any case I didn't meant to say that this plot shouldn't be build. What I wanted to say is that although a Hotel is a perfect use for the plot, the project (the building itself) is very ugly and it remembers me the same constructions that we can see in Benidorm, Lloret or in any other coastal degraded zone.

This plot have an incredible situation, this building should be another Hotel Vela and it is not.... and I don't only talk for the height.

I must confess that I like more this building than the new hospital, although I really admire Bonell and Gil as architects and also teachers.

But I don't understand why they decided to remove any modernist element, they denied the colour of the facade, the ornamentacions, the forms... It seems like if they despise the work of Montaner. Let me explain: It's a great building (the new hospital), but it speaks a completely different language than Sant Pau. It could have been anywhere.

In the other hand, this new building from Benedetta and her team fits perfectly next to the ancient hospital
