Wow, the fascist and Mussolini comparisons are probably more offensive to fascists and Mussolini than to the tower. It's a modern, progressive design through-and-through and as far removed from fascist antiquity revivalism as can be. Mussolini would have derided it as a symbol of 1920s depravity - what Germans would later refer to as degenerate art.

(In case the above paragraph is misunderstood to say the opposite of what it does (I know how the internet goes), here's to clarify: I like this design and dislike fascism.)

So is it 800 feet or 750 feet?

Either way it's pretty cool!

Very nice looking. But change the name. How stupid is it to name your building for a street it's not even on? How confusing can you possibly get?

...The Colosseo Quadrato is a great piece of architecture.
That thing is not (imo)while it would delight for sure Giorgio de Chirico!
...Pretty bold to associate a masterpiece(432 PA)with 15 William!

Architecture wasn't classified under the realm of Entartete Kunst. Hitler actually appreciated modern architecture as industrial design, but Bauhaus was shut down because of its intellectual nature, thus perceived as Jewish. Still, such a building as this would certainly be derided because the chief architect is black.

It's pretty bold to call a stretched concrete box a masterpiece.

I'm into it. Agreed about the name, though.

The design is not bad but the chosen location is, this kind of architecture belongs somewhere uptown central park.

Not sure if I like the new facade. The only thing I don't like at all is that golden whatever it is at the top. But that pool render and the vault is simply wonderful.

Future architecture will have more and more greenery, so get used to it. Humans naturally like greenery anyway.

I'll wait for the final product to pass judgment on this. I think it could end up looking horrible... or not.

NEW YORK | The Wall Street Tower | 244m | 800ft | 61 fl | Prep

Interesting design update. Can’t decide whether I like it or not. But one thing is for sure: after the fiasco that was the redesign of 1WTC’s base, Lower Manhattan is about to get more chamfered corners than it can handle!
