Non Passenger Access Past Security

Are there any other countries besides Australia that nationally still allow anyone who is not a passenger to visit the secure area of an airport, but with the requirement to still go through security and follow the same rules as passengers.

That is a common thing in Australia? I remember once I was living in Brisbane and my girlfriend had to leave for quite a while. We went to the security check and said goodbye while the officer just waved us through. Could even go to the gate with her. Had never seen anything like that. Always thought that had not been standard rule. So for sure that is not allowed in Europe, Northern America and most of Latin America.

Pittsburgh international airport has a program called MyPass that allows non ticketed people through TSA security. You can go during the day time and get a pass from the station thats located at the end of the ticket lobby. As long as you have a valid ID they will issue you a pass. I used it and they don't care as long as you have your badge displayed they will leave you alone. I used it when British Airways resumed service to Pittsburgh and went airside to see the plane and the celebration.

Other news for Tampa International Airport.

TSA will let you go through at security without a ticket. Only for every Saturday at 8am to 8pm.

A good answer, but I was asking if any other countries besides Australia allowed such access nationally.
