Such a mess. Architecture should be celebrated when it inspires and makes one happy to say that they live or work in a building that does.
How many residents and nearby neighbours would say that they are excited by / feel positive about Trellick Tower?
There have been studies, courses and books on mental well-being and how architecture has an impact. I don't think the design lends itself to positive feelings for anyone living in or closeby. 0/10.

The equivalent in the North East was the Derwent Tower in Gateshead, a 280 feet high brutalist tower block that was inspired by an Apollo space rocket, or so I've been told. Obviously a striking building that could be seen for miles around like The Trellick Tower, but an awful place to live with lift failures, low water presssure and damp on the highest floors. Also crime and vandalism were a constant problem. In the end, Derwent Tower was mostly used for the homeless as it was totally unfit for families and had no prospect of gentrification, unlike Trellick.
