Here's a link to their marketing brochure. Looks about the same except focused on Phase I and II

Amen to that! Downtown was in a major drought while the suburban area was booming. Downtown overbuilt & with lesser quality of buildings, by quality, I mean not built for future office use past the initial leasing period after construction. Developers built too fast, 1st in the ground was more important than the longevity-usage of buildings & viability of downtown for generations. Good to see some serious changes being made. Downtown needs a retail renaissance in the worst way, as do many US cities core.

I visited Dallas for the first time recently and like it. It needs a lot more greenery though. I'd like to see the sidewalks lined with trees and flowers.

I hate to be pessimistic but this project almost seems like throwing money down a well.

I disagree and most developers in the area would too or they wouldn't be building 3 others even closer to the Cowboys Practice Facility.

This whole area is exploding with higher density mixed-use development and we'll most likely be hearing about several more in the coming years along 121 & the DNT

You know, I was wondering when Grand Prairie was going to get a Ski Resort

Indoor Ski Resort and Hard Rock Hotel

Quote:
The hotel will contain 300 rooms, 28,000 square feet of open meeting space, 20,000 square feet of divisible meeting space, at least two restaurants, an exercise facility, luxury spa facilities, resort style rooftop pool complex, and structured parking. The developer will build a second hotel of comparable quality or expand the existing hotel by 300 rooms within two years of initial opening of first hotel.

The indoor ski resort will be a year-round, world-class fourth generation indoor facility with restaurants and specialty retail, and will be integrated with the Hard Rock hotel. The snow dome will offer indoor ski slope measuring nearly 300 feet tall and 1200 feet long, an indoor ice climbing wall, luge track and winter wonderland play area.

The city’s investment includes the land, three-year Tax Increment Financing (TIF) funds for infrastructure, 100% real estate tax abatement for seven years, and a 75% rebate of hotel motel tax for ten years after opening.

The developer anticipates ground breaking in first quarter 2015, contingent upon full financing. The project will take 34 months to construct and is scheduled to open in early 2018. The resort will create over 1,900 jobs upon full operation. The total multi-phase project is estimated to be $400 million at completion

Land Deal to Expand Spring Valley Nature Reserve near City Line

Quote:
On Monday night Richardson’s city council approved a plan to buy 60 acres at the southwest corner of Renner and Plano roads from members of the Margaret Hunt Hill family.

The $11 million purchase will allow Richardson to expand the adjoining Spring Creek Nature Reserve.

As part of the deal, the city will allow entitlements for the Hunt Hill family’s Galatyn Properties Ltd to develop up to 1,850 apartments on land it owns near the Galatyn Park DART rail station. Richardson would be required to rezone land for those apartments.

Another Office Building for Frisco Square

Quote:
The 4-story building would be constructed in the Frisco Square development on Frisco’s Main Street, just east of the Dallas North Tollway.

The planned project will contain 40,000 square feet of office space plus 10,000 square feet of ground floor retail and is to be built at the southwest corner of Main Street and Coleman Boulevard,

With the way the northern Metroplex is growing, I don't think you can have enough. The population increase is demanding it.
