Its a very good looking building and its on turtle creek, Im looking foward to it being built.
The design of this building is far more sophisticated than either of those buildings, therefore longer design period. I am really looking forward to this project finally starting.

High-rise hotel project approved for Plano’s Legacy West development

Quote:
A new high-rise hotel is coming at Plano’s Legacy business park.

The City of Plano has approved incentives for the construction of the $82 million hotel project which will be built in the new Legacy West development on the Dallas North Tollway.

The 300-room Renaissance Hotel will be built on Legacy Drive just west of the tollway.

The hotel project has the backing of the family that owns the hugely successful Sam Moon retail firm.

The project will also include 26,200 square feet of conference space.

Plano’s city council approved a $4 million economic grant to support the new hotel which is to be located in the same area where Toyota is building its new North American headquarters.

The hotel is part of the 240-acre Legacy West development which will kick off in February with the construction of retail, apartments and office space.

Land deal closes for $200 million West Dallas development near Trinity Groves
Quote:
A $200 million mixed-use development near Trinity Groves in West Dallas is one step closer to being realized after a Dallas-based group closed on a 25-acre tract along Singleton Boulevard on Thursday.

Stonelake Capital Partners purchased the property for a residential-anchored development at 1000 Singleton Blvd. at the southwest corner of Singleton Boulevard and Sylvan Avenue. Dallas-based StreetLights Residential is working with Stonelake on the development.

HFF's Ben Beaird represented the buyer. John Bielamowicz of the newly formed Biel Partners LLC represented the seller, Austin International Ventures, which has owned the property since before World War II.

Horseshoe will open downtown Dallas to pedestrians as more people move to Uptown
Quote:
Big changes are coming to the Dallas Horseshoe in early 2015. The $798 million project will rebuild the junction of Interstate 35E and Interstate 30 just west of downtown Dallas with new bridges, ramps, frontage roads and more lanes.

"Come first quarter, you'll start seeing some new things with the roadway," said Katrina Keyes, a spokesman for Pegasus Link Constructors, the contractor for the project. "You'll start riding on some of the new roadway."

A new flyover ramp will open from northbound I-35E to eastbound Interstate 30 that will be more seamless and allow for better traffic flow in early 2015.

Dallas land development would fill an empty corner of downtown

Quote:

Great to see the Spire project really going strong, if this goes underway it will definitely fill in a key void in the Eastern half of the CBD.

The high-tech development is underway at the southeast corner of Plano Road and Lookout Drive. It’s just south of State Farm’s new office campus at Plano Road and Bush Turnpike.

The 129,180-square-foot data center will take up about 15 acres on the corner. The 1-story building was designed by Corgan Architects of Dallas.

Dallas Development News

It looks good. I think the neighboring superblocks sort if mess with the flow of the streets though. Like where the Chase tower and Univision towers are.

Dallasites have waited patiently for the Katy Trail extension project to begin, and the time is now! Construction of the Mockingbird Pedestrian Bridge is officially underway at the southeast corner of Mockingbird Station. The suspension bridge, which is expected to open by the first quarter of 2016, will cross Mockingbird Lane and connect the Katy Trail to the Mockingbird DART station

Good finds jonathanATX and dch526. It's hard to believe that all those lots at Victory are nearly all accounted for in projects.
