Apparently the largest brick built building in the country... That's what they used to tell us anyway.

Wholesale market site I've been told from my brother who works in town. Says it's burning pretty badly!

The fire is out now and all the roads around are open again, I got caught when it was happening, stuck in Digbeth for about 20 mins while all the buses where diverted back out of town.. Beyond Hurst Street was closed and Bradford Street too, chaos it was trying to get out of the City!

wish they kept the gas holders for a climbing/abseiling activity spot! would have been great use

as for the wholesale markets apparently 20% of he building is affected, i hope they speed up building the new one

I missed the flag discussion, I agree it's a silly waste of time, so sorry for bringing it back up.

We already have a quite nice West Midlands County flag, we don't want to turn into Belfast!

If you turn it to the vertical is there a bush-button below and a clowns head on top? (suggestions for the latter gratefully received)

Birmingham's old flag was flying on the Council House today. When does it get made redundant?

It doesn't. The new one was just some community project which will soon be forgotten.
