Dapat kasi bagohin ang number sequence. Kung hindi, i-classify ang mga linea sa kulay kay sa numbero. Pwd rin sa pangalan katulad na lang ng Edsa Line, Santolan Line, etc.

Number designations are more absolute. When one says "Line 1," there could only be one "Line 1," and it is no longer subject to interpretation. When one says "Santolan Line," which line? There's a Santolan station on Line 3 and another on Line 2. It's subject to interpretation. You can't just enforce unto everyone that when one says Santolan Line, they automatically think it's just Line 2. And you can't call them stupid for thinking that; everyone has a different thought process.

Whether you're using the metrorail for many years now or it's your first time, whether you're a local or a foreigner, it should be easy and should not lead to any confusion. Right now, name-based lines would not be confusing because there are only 3 lines. What if we get to have 10 lines in the few decades to come?

Naming lines after numbers are very common in China. Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur name their rail lines by names. Bangkok name their rail lines by colour.

I think DOTC are ill advised by not renewing Sumitomo contract on the

maintenance side. i agreed with writer that the government are operating the

MRT 3 at high risk? They should renegotiate in advance last year with

sumitomo with new negotiated terms of contract for maintenace that could

be win win resolution for both parties, without compromising safety of the

passenger. Currently the interim maintenance provider have no financial

capability in terms of spareparts procurement. So we can expect

20 down cars and maybe the fate of some cars could land into scrap as in

case of some rolling stock in Line 1.

Wow you made rail fans angry.

Hm are you representing AKBAYAN? KALIKASAN? SAMAHAN NG MAGSASAKA? BAYANMUNA or ANAKPAWIS? Or you are just a communist headed person who doesn't want to improve the economic stand of the country?

Congrats you pissed me off.

The problem is when it comes to developments, the numbers are skipped.

For instance you have MRT line-7 instead of it being line-4.

I still prefer having such lines name by color. The problem is, The DOT changed the color identity of every line.

Better change it back to the original with line-1 as yellow, line-2 as purple and line-3 as blue.

You missed the point on that, dude.

How pathetic. So dapat pala inunang gawin ang Line 2 sa Line 3 dahil 3 > 2?

SATIRE

@loveisthekey93, @1100, @keLmikez, @edly,
[email protected] was using a "Satire" to show that other's reasoning is flawed.

@dantskie1978,
I've seen a lot of these in SSC.
Unlike Westeners, Filipinos are not used to "Satire".
Please use it with caution.
Regards.

I don't see it as satirical/sarcastic. Why support your own satirical post? You could just refute it immediately

Mas maganda nga sana kung by color designation nalang.

Kaso the genius DOTC under ex. Sec Mar Roxas just changed the color designation ganon ganon lang.

I think it's not too late for the current DOTC admin to revert back to the original color designation.
