Oo nga at nakakalungkot ang kalagayan ng former Northline ng PNR. Pero sa kabilang banda naging maganda ang naging documentary ni Kara David. At least sa loob ng 12 years kong pagiging railfan sa wakas nagkaroon din ng documentary na naipapakita kung paano natin naviview ang PNR in historical perspective. Tama siya hindi lang lumang batong gusali nakikita nating mga railfans tuwing nadadatnan natin ang mga ito kundi nakikita natin ang buhay na kasaysayan ng mga ito. The way na nanghinayang siya sa mga nangyari ay katulad din ng karamihan sa atin dito.

May hinala tuloy na talagang railfan by blood itong si Kara David hehe. Btw dapat mag post, comment or mag like sa kanilang official site at fb or twitter account at magbigay pasasalamat kay Kara David for a job well done. Para malaman nila na may mga tao na katulad natin na nagmamalasakit sa daang-bakal.

Ang PNR ay hindi lang form of economic convenience para sa masa, kundi isa rin siyang Tatay sa lumalaking bansa. Na sa kabila ng paglaki ng bayan kinalimutan na nya kung sino ang nagpalaki sa kanya.

Naisip ko tuloy maganda na ma ideclare ng NHI ang buong row ng Manila-Dagupan na historical.

Hopefully mag karoon tayo ng organisadong samahan na tutulong na ipaalam sa mga kababayan natin ang importansiya ng daang bakal na ito.

Sikat si JAFITI sa documentary ni Kara. Dami nyang credits. Pati RIHSPI nasama sa ibang flic.

Sana gawing priority ng RIHSPI ang North Rail. Dahil pag kumilos na ang NR. Sigurado demolish na lahat yan.

di naman siguro... sa Phase 1 pa lang may mga station na silang naka-save: Malolos, Guiguinto, Meycauayan, pati rin sa bandang Pampanga may mga hindi dinemolish... sa bandang norte ung Tarlac at San Fernando Station maayos pa din naman ang lagay ngayon... ang alanganin na station ung sa Dagupan...

Kung meron man sumikat, malamang meron din naging bitter dahil hindi yung "group" nya ang featured sa documentary ni Kara. Ang alam ko, isang Kapampangan itong si Kara at syempre dinadaanan ng tren ang province ng Pampanga. Malamang nung kabataan nya, malapit sa riles ang dating bahay nila kaya malaki din ang interes nya sa North Line.

A very interesting documentary, just a shame that the Tagalog was not accompanied with subtitles so as to appeal to a broader audience.
Great to see our beloved Colonel get a mention as well.
This is the second rail related report the team have done, so hopefully we see more in the future.
Hopefully this revives a bit of rail heritage interest over there again. The saving of Philippine rail history appears to have lost interest there in recent times.

Meycauayan is a glorious survivor. It would be nice to see her utilised and restored by some local interest group before she is lost forever.

No advisory from the DOTC yet Uncle Brad.

But there was a news report posted by Mod Hakz that Naga - Legazpi commuter train service is set to commence very soon.
