Ganyan naman talaga when media gets involved. Palito maging troso. We can just let it ride and see what happens next.

Ah ganun! Hahatiin ni Lito Lapid yang Bullet Train sa dalawa! Kaya nya yun...

Sayang yung North Rail project, nawala na yung tren na tatakbo ng 80-100kph, 50kph average kung sa mga biseng lugar like within the city na magkakalapit ang stations. Pro bakit ba napunta dito yang north rail project?

Hintayin nalang natin yang Bullet Train baka dumating din hehe..

Mashado kasi nagambisyon yung Northrail, naging HSR to connect CRK, walang nangyari.

Bullet trains or HSR are overly ambitious. Modern express (no stop) fast trains of 150 km per hour will do the job 35-45 min to Clark, and they will more ridership and affordable.

I hope that the PROOF OF CONCEPT for bullet train will be done in Cebu, considering that the PROOF OF CONCEPT for Cebu-BRT is done in Commonwealth Avenue...

My idea would be this:

If we do a Bullet Train service, not only will it be implemented for the Clark-Manila sector, but do it for the entire Luzon corridor. My stations would be the following (initial):

Clark-Manila:
- Clark Airport
- North Avenue

Clark-Laoag:
- Tarlac City
- Rosales
- Urdaneta City (for Dagupan City)
- Agoo (for Baguio City)
- San Fernando
- Vigan (for Bangued)
- Laoag City

Manila-Bicol:
- Shaw Boulevard
- Fort Bonifacio
- Alabang
- Santa Rosa (for Enchanted Kingdom)
- Santo Tomas (for Lipa City and Batangas City)
- Lucena City
- Gumaca (for Mulanay and other peninsula towns)
- Jose Panganiban
- Daet City
- Libmanan
- Naga City
- Iriga City
- Ligao City (for Tabaco City)
- Legazpi City
- Sorsogon City
- Matnog

I could develop it further and say...

Clark-Tuguegarao
- Angeles City East
- Cabanatuan City (for Baler, Aurora)
- Palayan City
- Solano
- Cauayan City
- Ilagan City
- Tuguegarao City

How are those for the Bullet Train lines?

Manila-Clark bullet train: Coming soon?

MANILA, Philippines - Pangilinan-led Metro Pacific Investment Corp. (MPIC) is still keen on undertaking the government's bullet train project between Manila and Clark should it push through.

Asked to respond to a report that the government is studying how to proceed with the rail project meant to boost Clark's chances as alternative or main gateway, MPIC Vice President for Corporate Communications Melody del Rosario said they are still keen on undertaking the project but have not submitted any proposal to the government.

"We've always been interested in that (bullet train project). We have expressed our interest. We want to participate if government will bid it out," del Rosario said.

However, the project seems a long shot since it remains in the early stages of project evaluation and has a long way to go before it reaches the bidding phase.

Only when the government has decided on its airport strategy -- whether Clark will become the main in place of, or alternative international airport to, congested Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila -- will the rail project proceed.

A bullet train system is always a dream for the country. I just hope that this time, it will not always stay as an elusive dream.

Agree. Revive the old lines first, service for commuter and freight
