to start this project and to complete one or two stations is an accomplishment in itself. I just hope succeeding govt admins would continue the project, unless we elect again an aquino whose family legacy is to stop projects of previous govt admins.

The current government should secure all aspect of this project so that the next admin can no longer stop it.

Kung ipatigil man yan, masisira ang credibility ng Pinas sa financial world lalo na sa mga creditor at investors.

i agree. San ka nakakita na 3 train stations line lang ang project. Parang lrt2 east ext lang.

Wala naman ng mananalong aquino as president next election. Ang kabahan lang ay yung mga china funded projects - mukhang walang matutuloy. Lol.

Yeah, the last activity of your account was June but the last post was February. As far as I can tell, that account is still in good standing. Its also a veteran account with thousands of posts so its actually better if you can use that one instead. Send me a PM what the issue is and we can have an admin look into it.

Isco won't win... Won't probably run. I prefer him win another term that his vision for Manila comes into fruition

Agreed. We need Isko to ensure that Manila stays clean. He can run for president by 2028 and by then, any rail projects that were to pass his city should be completed by then. Plus Manila residents whould be used to clean and orderly city by then they probably want to maintain it themselves.

And yes, Digong's successor will be absolutely critical for this particular project. Even Art Tugade was practically pleading to whoever succeeds Digong to continue the project. God knows what will happen if a Dilawan wins. Even if the Dilawan president is a good person, those under him or her will want to exploit this project for their own personal gain, hence wreck havoc...North Rail, MRT7, LRT2 East Extension, LRT4...just to name a few. The mere thought of it is scary so to be safe, it must be Sarah Duterte for peace of mind.

If that is the case, she must run cause the Dilawan candidate would most likely be Leni Robredo.

It may actually be a good thing if she's their candidate because considering her current ratings and the showing of the 8D candidates last senatorial elections... her chances of winning are pretty slim. The dilaw brand is political poison now, and even more so in 2+ more years when some of the infrastructure projects in the works such as the subway, PNR and MRT rehabs finally start bearing fruit. Mas may laban pa siguro some independent candidates.

Relate lang yong nakwento ng anak about Expropriation. She is licensed real estate broker connected with a well known Developer. Kasama binebenta ng condo units ay yong parking. Lahat ng parking spaces na along the road were titled sa name of the Developer. The Developer can demand twice or thrice the market price of the Parking Spaces from the Government.

As long as Duterte keeps his coalition they will win. The problem is if the Villars and Marcoses choose to field their own candidate. Marcoses will always have the north, Villars will split up the votes in Metro Manila and surrounding provinces although not necessarily will win the region. Those two areas delivered a good chunk of Dutertes' votes last time.

Yeah, dapat they're already planning for the next steps - not just extending this first subway line, but also planning for the subsequent line(s). Maybe this can be dubbed as the Philippines 2048 (2 ^ 11 ) Transport Plan (which is also in time for the 150th Independence Day).

For Mega Manila alone, I think it'll be nice to have a subway line sa C4/EDSA (personally I am in favour of eventually "killing" MRT3, siguro in 15-20 years once MMSP goes in full operation), west of it (perhaps from Meycauayan, then CAMANAVA area down to West/South QC, Mandaluyong/San Juan/eastern Manila, then connect with Makati Subway, then eventually ending sa MoA or PITX), an east-west line and/or an elliptical line (to connect Rizal with different points in Metro Manila and the peripheral provinces). Then be generous with interchanges between the existing and new lines (as well as transport hubs and other forms of transport like the one in Pasig River Ferry). Di kelangang iisa lang ang Grand Station.
