Ano ba talaga ang length nito? 12 km or 20 km?

its like our version of the central circle line... wherein in it is linked to other lines radiating outwards or intersecting/crossing its circumference..

yes i agree with you....with the consideration that mega manila is way past 15 million during work weeks.... one example of this oversight is the platform at boni mrt station, its too narrow and they never provide rail guards for safety precautions.

Ang importante dito easy trasnfer and connectivity to existing mass transit lines.

Yes they should build it straight upto Ortigas Center...

The 3 CBDs should be interconnected.

Map of Ortigas Center.

The Western side has EDSA MRT;

but the Eastern side, where workers from
Pasig, Antipolo, Cainta, Taytay converge,
does not have reliable mass transit,
not even bus.

They only take UV Express FX, or jeep.

Wow! That really cost a lot for a 12 km rail! Hopefully there would be a comprehensive rail development fund that will be set aside yearly to finance all projects aside from PPP.

It's very expensive to put up a subway. I do hope this project actually happens. I wonder how long it takes?

NEDA identifies projects to ease NCR traffic

Quote:
NEDA also wants to finally see the construction of a subway in Metro Manila, a project which has long been proposed. The proposed subway, which initially costs ₱374.5 billion, will connect the cities of Makati, Pasay and Taguig.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is willing to help finance the project.

"We just need to choose which of three possible alignments should be," Pernia said.

Kung inextend lang nila yung MRT3 up to MOA, would we even need this kind of line? Ayala is already connected to MRT3. BGC na lang yung hindi masyado. What Ayala and BGC need is a convenient mass transport service inside the CBD and a link between the two. Ang hirap kasi ma-commute right now sa loob ng Ayala and BGC at laging traffic. Yung Makati loop jeeps are too primitive and inefficient for world-class CBDs. Mas beneficial and pagtuunan sana nila ng priority yung isa pang subway project - Metro Manila Subway (San Jose Del Monte – Dasmarinas).

decided to look at parts of the JICA report (Pre-Feasability) today at
http://open_jicareport.jica.go.jp/pdf/12244661_01.pdf

http://open_jicareport.jica.go.jp/pdf/12244661_02.pdf

What's interesting. This Reclaimation area-BGC isn't the subway they proposed. They are backing this one but the real subway they have planned is from San Jose Del Monte to Dasmariñas.

Does anyone know if the Govt has plans to start the first phase of that line during the Duterte admin? That would make a lot of sense. The total cost is $8 billion which leaves me puzzled as the subway loop project costs the same as that?

It also expains potentially why the MRT 7 line terminus at San Jose Del Monte is underground. Potentially another interchange station for the subway sometime in the future?

It also shows how it would interconnect with the Subway loop at BGC.

It's a long read, but it's very imformative especially knowing the reasoning for their proposals. Do a quick read on the plans for flood control on the second part link, chapter 11.

The proposed alignment of the subway also avoids flood-pone, tsunami-prone AND earthquake-prone areas. Not to mention it goes through the main CBDs of Metro Manila.

This project is probably the most important railway line in the whole of Metro Manila.
