^Dulo-dulo siguro yan from Roosevelt to Baclaran kasama na pila ng rush hour.

Pero I don't see it as the average time spent on the system.

However, a trip from end to end (Baclaran to Roosevelt) wouldn't take more than 40 minutes. The trains only stay at a station at an average of 30 seconds. Try to time it yourselves.

Marketing partner eyed for EDSA LRT-1 station
Quote:
LIGHT Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) is seeking proposals from companies and government entities who want to incorporate their name and brand identity into the EDSA Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) station. In a statement, the operations and maintenance provider of the LRT-1 said it launched its Station Partnership Program, as part of its efforts to refurbish all 20 stations from Baclaran to Roosevelt.

If chosen as the station partner, the company or government entity will be “granted certain marketing rights at EDSA LRT-1 station, including the right to integrate their brand identity into the name of the station.”

Companies established in the Philippines for at least two years can apply for the program.

LRMC tapped PHAR Partnerships, an international media and marketing agency as its exclusive ancillary revenue partner.

“The revenue generated from this exercise will be used for the upgrade of the EDSA LRT-1 station. This includes the rehabilitation of the roofing and flooring of the station, complete electrical overhaul, additional security measures and passenger conveniences, and introduction of a retail environment,” the train operator added.

Currently the LRT-1 line’s monthly ridership is 13.5 million, and the EDSA station accounts for 1.5 million monthly riders.

LRMC -- a consortium of Ayala Corp., Metro Pacific Light Rail Corp. (MPIC) and Macquarie Infrastructure Holdings (Philippines) Pte. Ltd. -- will operate and maintain LRT-1 for 32 years.

MPIC is one of three Philippine subsidiaries of Hong Kong’s First Pacific Co. Ltd., the others being PLDT, Inc. and Philex Mining Corp. Hastings Holdings, Inc. -- a unit of PLDT Beneficial Trust Fund subsidiary MediaQuest Holdings, Inc. -- maintains an interest in BusinessWorld through the Philippine Star Group, which it controls. -- I.C.C. So it's basically an "Adopt an LRT Station Program".

I still don't understand why a branch line from the extension wasn't in the plans to properly serve NAIA terminals?

Because the extension with all its flaws such as the lack of this branch line, was penned by Joseph Emilio Aguinaldo Abaya!

Possible ba ang subway sa NAIA T1-2-3-4? In terms of digging tunnels under the runways and terminals.

Pwede siguro mag lagay ng subway stations per terminal that leads to EDSA or Baclaran Station.

JICA-funded LRT-1 train supply deal opened to Japanese bidders

Quote:
The new coaches are set to be deployed to the LRT-1 Cavite Extension public-private partnership project, which will extend the train line from Baclaran to Bacoor, Cavite. The project involves the rehabilitation of the existing 21-kilometer (km) line and an 11.7-km extension to Bacoor.

Light Rail Manila Consortium (LRMC) -- a consortium of Ayala Corp., Metro Pacific Light Rail Corp. (MPIC) and Macquarie Infrastructure Holdings (Philippines) Pte. Ltd. -- bagged the P64.9-billion LRT-1 Cavite Extension project, which will extend the train line. It also took over the operations, maintenance and extension of LRT-1 last September. Its concession agreement with the government will run for 32 years.

Construction of the LRT Cavite extension project has been hindered by right-of-way issues, which are expected to be resolved by next year.
