Emerald Drive Station is relatively close enough to Amang Rodriguez, enough to consider it within reasonable walking distance.

It's almost like the walk from Santolan Station to SM City Marikina, just a little bit farther.

That said, I suggest that posts here should be relevant to the LRT2 extensions only, including articles, photos, political commentaries relating only to LRT2, and so on. All other topics regarding the other MRT or LRT lines, as well as general political commentaries on Metro Manila rail rapid transit, should be on the main Metro Manila Mass Rapid Transit System thread.
Even a former supermod agrees. If this gets locked-up, don't blame me.

Major construction was suppose to start two days from now but nooooooo......

Meanwhile, for the LRT 2 Extension project, the MMDA chair said DMCI insisted that they start Sept. 17, but he claimed that the agency asked them first to provide temporary traffic signals along Marcos Highway.
“Maybe they can start the project on Sept. 28 once this requirement is met,” he added.

They said the extension project would involve the construction of a 3.9-kilometer “fully elevated viaduct” along Marcos Highway and two additional stations: one in front of the Robinsons Metro East and Sta. Lucia East Grand Malls, and the other at the Masinag Junction in Antipolo City.

@former Mod Queetz: just noticed your former L2 signature has disappeared already.

Re: Tolentino - since the due is busy campaigning for his Senate seat next year, I think its better if he just continue his provincial sorties and leave Metro Manila alone since there's still a month left for filing of COCs.

Yeah, it was a small request from SSC's top guy after I made a request to ban a certain troll that shall remain nameless. Apparently there is a height limit on sigs or something...I'll think of something new later.

One thing that bugs me with this Tolentino is why is he nitpicking on LRT2. That guy is simply useless I suspect he is making traffic bad on purpose, and any solution to relieve us of it such as the LRT2 extension will be impossible to implement while this jerk is here. Yes, he should run for senator...and loose!

from my dashcam.. West bound marcos highway (Master D-inspired videos, but raw, unedited, no description and no music) Marcos hwy from 1:20

around Sta Lucia area (intersection is closed most of the time). Previous ground works in this area including construction fences are now removed, but some road markings are visible for possible work area in the future.

Nice! Thanks for the videos PasigGuy.

It looks like construction will start at Masinag and move towards Santolan station. Only three more days until heavy construction starts....unless Francis Tolentino finds yet another excuse to delay it yet again...

Ive seen the plans and structure of this extension project many times and please do not expect much more when it comes to design and aesthethics. They wont follow the existing segmental girder but instead will use AAsTHo girder for the whole viaduct. It will appear much like MRT3 viaduct and the stations wil be very much silimar to LRT Rosvelt Station. Columns szes ranges from 1.5m, 2m, 2.5m circular diameter via Boreholes in section 15m, 25m and 28m spans. 3m x 3m column via Pilehead in two 40m spans.

No Elegance, Modernity or Thai Aesthetics design whatsoever in these project. Just imagine LRT2 and MRT3 connected with each other.. Just pPlain cement and a couple if Davies Paint..
