From the DOTr which is part of the continuous battle between Grace Poe and the Filipino people! But what is interesting here is Western Extension of LRT2 is NOT forgotten...

Quote:
Dear Senator Grace Poe,

With all due respect, here is a list of some of the accomplishments of the DOTr in the first half of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's term, even without emergency powers.

DOTr UNDER THE DUTERTE ADMINISTRATION

“Make the Filipino life comfortable.” A simple but challenging directive, this was the marching order that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte gave to Secretary Arthur P. Tugade the moment he took the helm of the Department of Transportation (DOTr). In three (3) years under the Duterte administration, the DOTr continues to work in transporting the Filipino towards a new beginning, the golden age of infrastructure.

With three years left under the leadership of President Duterte, the DOTr has already made strides in ushering a comfortable life to the riding public through new and improved infrastructures, sound programs and services, and addressing longstanding issues.

In three (3) years, the DOTr has completed the construction of 64 airport projects while 133 are ongoing; started the construction of four (4) railway projects, continued two (2) more, rehabilitated one (1) railway with six (6) more set for construction; built and started operations of one (1) landport; and completed 220 commercial and social/tourism projects port projects, with 121 more ongoing.

<snip>
Railways

The country has a total of 77 kilometers of operational railways. The DOTr plans to further expand its current length to a total of 1,900 kilometers to benefit the riding public.

Under the Duterte administration, construction has started for four (4) railway projects, namely, the PNR Clark Phase 1, LRT Line 1 (LRT-1) Cavite Extension, the Common Station, and the Metro Manila Subway Project. The DOTr also continued two more (2) railway projects that began during the previous administration: the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7) and the LRT Line 2 (LRT-2) East Extension. Six (6) more railway projects are for construction, namely, PNR Clark Phase 2, PNR Calamba, PNR Bicol, Subic-Clark Railway, Mindanao Railway, and LRT-2 West Extension.

<snip>

Three years under the Duterte administration, the DOTr is steadfast in bringing a comfortable life to the Filipino people. With its attached agencies working hand-in-hand under the Aviation, Railways, Road, and Maritime sectors, the DOTr spearheaded transformational projects and initiatives, to give the riding public enhanced connectivity and mobility that will ultimately lead to a comfortable life.

The DOTr is driven to bridge the archipelago and its people closer together.

Thank you.

Come Emergency Powers or not, that West Extension has to be built.

Lest we have another PITX scenario na mauna pang matapos yung Malolos-Tutuban line kesa dun sa rail transit line na mag-transport sa mga tao from the Tutuban station.

Not gonna name any names but I know that there will be certain elitist politicians who won't go through the whole letter. The moment they see the words "railway" or "public transport" they lose their minds.

Yeah, we have to know. So we know who are the ones we avoid and their allies on next election.

I think mauuna talaga ang Tutuban line kasi nagsisimula na sya eh at saka mukha naman wala na masyado issue sa ROW. Yung West Extension wala pa movement eh. This year pa lang makakakuha consultant for its design.

Meron nga , pero yung parang mesh design sa existing station meron pero nasa labas nalang. Sana may metal cladding parin like sa existing stations, so parang medyo consistent kahit papaano.

Still have purple color roof though. It seems like left over design before somebody F up the line colors. I doubt papalitan pa ang pintura ulit, magastos na.

Line 2 East Extension Phase 1 is nearing completion.

Hopefully, Phase 2 project commences the soonest from Masinag all the way to Antipolo proper.
Marcos Hiway really needs to decongest badly.
