For me this does not matter as long as the service is way better than today, i'll just close my eyes.

Dept of Taste ang kailangan dahil pagdating sa design and aesthetics medyo bobo lang talaga ang gov at ibang companies

Part of the upper level has a pre-cast concrete wall, with same beige color as Trinoma.

i live nearby about a jogging distance and i rarely go to that area, only for supplies and when i cardio at the gym. Yes its ugly now smack right in the middle of 3 crossroads. i mean talk about scenic panorama this is an abomination. Pero ill wait til all cosmetics are done. It would help ease the view if that giant mukhang perang billboard be dismantled.

"Grand" just to make it sound special and as if we also have that iconic Grand Central like New York.

At best this is simply a terminus and Interchange for 4 train lines. It seems like it will have maybe around 8 platforms in total (4 at LRT+MRT and maybe 2 at MRT-7) not sure how many MM Subway platform will have. Not as close in terms of scale as Grand Central that has total of 44 platforms.

This UGCS simply a typical Interchange and it will be a first since all other Interchanges are simply isolated stations for their respective line only connected through bridges. Cubao is the worst since it has the longest distance and malls are served as the connection.

This is why I rather not have Grand Central in its name, not to mention that's more associated to New York Grand Central. No other central stations I know on other countries have similar name even they may be also really big. But it was discussed here before that the name is not final anyways. This is more like just a title for the project.

In the near future Tutuban, Blumentritt, and FTI will be interchanges. I have a feeling that FTI could be a proper Interchange one since it connects NSCR and MM Subway, which are designed to be interoperable to each other. I think there is another one In Sucat also which may feature multiple platforms and all under one roof.

To be fair, the original Common Station really was like the Grand Central Station. All four lines (MRT3, LRT1, MRT7 and LRT9, which is now East West Rail) were to literally be under one roof like the Grand Central Station in NYC. Now the UGCS is not really that grand because while four rail lines will be serviced by it, they are not really under one roof. Only the LRT1 and MRT3 will be that way while MRT7 is connected via a concourse. The Subway will be connected via a long underground walkalator.
