Adding one more line to the Unified Station will add more passengers to the already congested MRT-3. Plus most of the passengers coming from U-Belt are either faculty, students, or administrative staffs of the schools who go home in the suburbs of Quezon City.

You cannot add East-West Rail, formerly LRT9, to the Unified Station since it was moved from SM North Annex to "between SM North and Trinoma". The original common station actually had provisions for LRT9, now East West Rail...

Huh...where is your logic? The principal artery is on QC avenue, why use West Avenue and end at north. Line 9 is a dead issue because the old line 4 (East-West rail) has now been revived. Putting it on West Ave and ending at North will create a bottleneck at North Common Station and a detour for many riders. It is NOT only students, administrators, university employees who will be using East-West line. They are for commuters in general. For crying out loud.

I said "most of the passengers", I did not say that the line would be exclusively for those in U-Belt. The reason I brought it up also is because those who work and study at U-belt usually want to go home directly. Putting the terminus at the common station will make their commute a hassle compared to having the terminus at QMC.

I like the design. Sana taas-taasan ang height katulad ng LRT2 Extesion. LRT1 is too low that made the street below too congested.

The station reminds me of Brentwood Skytrain Station in Metro Vancouver...

source

Ironically, even though Brentwood Station is considered to be one of the prettiest Skytrain stations, as a user it is the most similar to an LRT/MRT station here in DA PILIPINS. It is located on top of a major thoroughfare (other stations are either on the side or on non-major roads), fairly high up and to get to it requires a LONG walk. The south side of the station (where the car dealers are) don't even have an elevator or escalator! But its pretty, right?

Is this true? They're still working on this line? Or is this the figment of our imagination?

If it is so, then wunnerful. Nice they're doing it partly underground (subway I guess from Timog to University Avenue). They can add another station between Timog-EDSA for the ABS-CBN crowd and may be another one between EDSA-QC Memorial.

Interesting. I didn't realize there's an underpass there. Haven't been there in a few years always use EDSA/East Av, then northward.

This is why we need a little bit of political will to make this project happen. The rail line will be on a public road so UST shouldn't really have any say. The problem is even during the Digong admin, unless those Dominicans are drug lords, political will is still somewhat limited to infrastructure projects, as seen with the ongoing Skyway delays.

Aside from the whole stretch of Espaņa Blvd, how about the area of Welcome Rotonda? Looking back when someone protests of building a footbridge years ago?

Saan kaya dadaan ang elevated railtrack? I can't even imagine whether it followa the footstep of Makati-Manila Marker which being removed for the Stage 3 construction.

There is a reason why this project is under PNR. Hopefully no more arguments as to why PNR instead of LRT and Tugade is to be blamed.

Move on. And Im thankful this project is on the GO.

There are creative ways of doing that. They can split the rails, going around the Rotonda. That is one possibility OR dig under the rotonda then back up again past it OR, they can do the subway starting from that point. That's higher ground already. It's not my money so I'm freely giving my 2 cents worth of suggestion.
