Makati subway up for 'Swiss challenge' says proponent

Mas kikita itong line na ito kung Makati-Taguig ang cover nito hindi lang Makati.

ang sabi iduduktong daw sa MetroManila Subway, eh dapat nasa Kalyaan ave. sya. eh di paglalakarin pa ng malayo mga tao sa MMS sa Kalayaan Station from Makati University.

17.9 B per km??? this is sooo overpriced!! mas kikita to kung elevated. Never sila makakarecover sa ganiang cost!!!

at tsaka kung feaseble sya, it should be well connected to other modes of transportation like sa Kalayaan Station, Guadalupe Station, Ayala Station. Redundant na ung purpose monorail ng megaworld sa guadalupe to kalayaan.

instead na i-connect na maglalakad pa, baket di na lang gawan ng spur line, tapos at least man lang paabutin ng LRT.

I can't help and reading some of the comments in this thread

How much do they think they will charge for a ride? How many people do they expect to ride this glamour line? And how much would they be asking for gov't subsidy to pay back the financiers? When MRT3 opened (right during Asian crisis), the fares were already unaffordable to the commuters. $10.00 per ride? This is

Gusto ata iemulate ng IRC ang HK MTR na akala nila kikita sila agad sa subway project. Magkaiba naman ang HK sa situation ng Makati. Sa HK, maraming hawak na properties ang MTR bukod pa dyan pag aari ng Gobyerno nila ang majority share ng MTR. Yung property prices sa HK sobrang mahal kaya favorable sa MTR. Dito sa Makati, mahal din kaso may option naman ang mga commuter na tumira sa ibang area malapit sa Makati di gaya sa HK na sobrang scarce na yung lupa duun.

Kaya binenta ko na yung IRC stock ko, malabo pa sa sabaw ng pusit yan project na yan.

Wala naman gaanong pag-aari ang IRC sa Makati. Kung Ayala pa yan pede pa kaso di naman papalamang ang Ayala, gusto nun malaki profit margin sa railway operation sa pamamagitan ng premium na presyo
