Cidade natal do Mises.

A influência austríaca, ao que parece, foi grande na arquitetura e no urbanismo de Lviv, dando a ela aparência de uma cidade da Europa Central.

Not surprising. About 30% of Ukrainian territory is located in Central Europe. Ruthenian (Ukrainian) cities were part of the Central European legal system (Magdeburg rights) from the first half of the 14th century. In those days, the Austrian Empire (Habsburg Empire) has not been created.

Yes, but until the beginning of the 20th century, Lviv was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

The face of the Old Town was formed before the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

BTW, the Ukrainian patriot Ivan Levinsky was the largest contractor in Lviv in the late 19th and early 20th centuries (in the era of the Austro-Hungarian Empire).

"Many Belle Époque public edifices and tenement houses were erected, the buildings from the Austrian period, such as the Lviv Theatre of Opera and Ballet built in the Viennese neo-Renaissance style, still dominate and characterise much of the centre of the city".

Wikipedia is a very crappy source.
Lviv Opera House was built in Eclectic style (a mixture of different styles from different eras).

- Ukrainian patriot Ivan Levinsky was the main contractor in the construction of the Lviv Opera House.
- Pole Zygmunt Gorgolewski was the chief architect in the construction of the Lviv Opera House.
- Ukrainian Petro Wojtowycz was the chief sculptor in the construction of the Lviv Opera House.

I'll reveal a secret: more than 80% of Ukrainians are nationalists (so says Russian propaganda)

But the most buildings close to the old town (and some in Old town), were built during the Austro-Hungarian era. No need to deny the obvious.

The historical value of the buildings in the Old Town is much more than the historical value of the buildings of the Austro-Hungarian era. BTW, UNESCO included in the World Heritage List only the Old Town that was built before the period of Austro-Hungarian Empire.

P.S. I agree that the Austro-Hungarian Empire has made a significant contribution to the development of Lviv but I don't like when exaggerate this contribution to the development of the city.
