東京 T O K Y O the stunning metropolis - 東京株式会社 TOKYO CORPORATE

Tokyo is home to more Forbes 500 companies than any other city in the world. Below I post pictures from some of the best known worldwide.

東京株式会社 TOKYO CORPORATE

NEC Supertower (1990. Nikken Sekkei, 180m/591ft)

NECís headquarters is probably the tallest and most outstanding corporate building in Tokyo.

Toshiba Building is also among the tallest (1984. Shimizu corp. 167m/548ft)

Casio Head Office near Shinjuku (99m/323ft)

Itochu is a huge company based in Osaka, but they have a massive office building in Tokyo - Aoyama (1980, 92m/302ft):

Subaru, Shinjuku

Canon (2002. 83m/272ft)

Canon HQ is in Shimomaruko, quite far from central Tokyo but still in the city limits. There they have several buildings and a wall enclosing the whole complex, so I couldnít see much. They have a taller building (144m/473ft) in Shinagawa.

Ricoh in Gaiendouri

Honda (1985. 72m/237ft) is in Minamiaoyama

Pioneer in Meguro

Sonyís World Head Office in Kitashinagawa. Not very remarkable...

...but rather than a head building, Sony has its own quarter with 13 buildings scattered around the main one. Hereís a map:

Not a good picture, sorry.

Finally, Sony Computer Entertainment Head Office (=Playstation)

Glass building in Aoyama avenue

very nice.

Wait till they finish the toyota mainichi tower in nagoya in 2006. Toyota are moving their overseas division from Tokyo to the 247m tower next to the JR towers. They're also moving a part into the 180m building to be built near by for 2007. Truely Exciting.

But Nick, not many companies have a quarter with 13 buildings as HQ (plus many other buildings in Tokyo)
