Hey everyone,
First off, thank you for the interest and dedication twords this project, not least for the patience!
Will tackle in the following message point by point eatch question posted these past days. Going forward we will closely monitor the thread in order to respond as quickly as possible.
Q: So that somewhat clears up my query regarding the TV box and control room, but is there any desire for closed VIP boxes on the main stand or just open boxes in the style of the ones already there?
A: Given the cold winters we have here, VIP boxes that can also be closed, or a mix of closed-open would be preferable.
Q: How many wheelchair positions should be included? According to UEFA's guide a 18 000 capacity stadium requires 140 positions, a 20 000 capacity stadium requires 150 positions. That piece is going to be EU regulation and should be met by new stadium projects!
A: Best go with what current regulations state. At the moment, we sit wheelchair spectators on the sideline of the players' benches.
Q: Can I use German legislation for the dimensions of escape routes, stairways, vormitories etc.?
A: Can't see any reason why not to.
Q: Are there any restrictions as to the maximum height of the stadium?
A: We would like the stadium to not greatly alter the surroundings (stand out too much), so it should not be higher than the VelPitar bread factory. I think satellite images show the facility.
Q: Are there any restriction as to how deep into the ground I can dig for the stadium?
A: Can't really give a specific answer for this. As far as we know, the place where the stadium was build was an open field, with no know building or other ancient fortifications existing there prior to that.
Q: Is there a requirement for a designated away sector? If so how big should it be? Where should it go?
A: Our current away sector is located in the stand behind the goal and has a capacity of little over 400. It poses somes issues because of the home fans and away fans intersecting when entering or exiting the stadium, so definitely the away section should be hosted by the opposite behind the goal stand (it's an open space there now, used as parking).
Q: In section 3.4 “to preserve the “Rezistenta din Munti” mural from south-west corner of current stadium and implement it into new one, preferably in the same corner”
Is there any pictures or information about this?
A: in terms of information regarding that mural, it's a memorial the fans painted in the summer of 2016 in honor of those who fought in the surrounding mountains of the city against the communist invasion in the early years after WW2. Will ask the fans about the font they used to paint that, hopefully they still remember.
Q: What type of usage are you anticipating for the mini-hotel? Is it intended to provide accommodation for visiting clubs etc? Or is broader use intended (and therefore different access requirements and parking spaces)?
A: The hotel is meant to serve as a camp for the home squad and possible rest place for visiting teams as well. Given the desire that a future stadium should also host concerts/festivals, the hotel must take into consideration that aspect as well.
Q: How many parking lots are recomended ?
- Underground carpark ?
A: In the occasions when the stadium was filled to it's current capacity (8,800), parking was always an issue, as the stadium never had a dedicated parking lot for supporters. Fans relied on the spaces available in the nearby private bus stadion and whatever they can find on the surrounding streets. Any solution to this is welcome.
Q-A: Regarding moving the pitch. As long as the displacement of the current pitch isn't too imposing, I suppose it's not that big of a problem and an exception can be made.
Q: What about the sidewalk? There seems to be no space for that.
A: Can we please get more details on this? Are you referring to the sidewalk on the main stand?
Hope we've covered all the questions. If we missed any, let us know and will respond ASAP.
Thanks again!
