Is it me or does anyone else feel the platforms are narrow. It feels in Rush hour, one can be easily pushed on to the tracks

Done that twice at the Hitech City Station. Parked car in the mall and used the Metro. I have seen others do it as well.

It would be good to see a metro station+Mall+commercial space coming up in same building but I don't think it will happen, instead they will build a normal metro station on road and connect it with FOB like they did at Panjagutta station.

Otherwise, will we not have the same reversing issue that is there in Hitech currently?
Anyone knows what is the plan after Mindspace and when will they pick up work on this?
No need to extend the viaduct for train reversal, they are providing track switching facility before Mindspace station so it will not be a problem.
As per initial plans airport corridor was planned via Biodiversity junction > Gacchibowli cross roads > ORR (Biodiversity SRDP flyover plan indicated the provisions made for the same) which later changed to go through Biodiversity junction > Khajaguda junction > Nanakramguda > ORR. We can get a clear picture on this only after June on completion of election.

Which mean only one side of the platform will used for the Mind space station, similarly what happened at Ameerpet station when Metro was running only between Nagole and Ameerpet.
Using of only one platform will restrict the frequency of train operation, both platforms can still be used along with maintaining the better frequency of operation provided the track switching facility is just before Mindspace station instead of at cyber towers/Trident hotel like the way it happens at Ghatkopar station in Mumbai metro & previously used to at Noida city centre metro, only thing is whether CBTC supports this type of intermediate switching before destination station?

After LB nagar station the viaduct is long enough for train to comfortably switch tracks.

Agreed with approach suggested. probably, it could be L &T's planning as well.

platform width

Yes i second that yesterday at Hi-tech metro station peakhour the platform was choked , people could easily loose balance fall onto the tracks if not careful a small commotion behind is enough, the same at Ameerpet platform 2 i think towards nagole where the escalator to miyapur platform starts, best thing to do is put barricade atleast at these stations

Hitech City - Raidurg/Mindspace stretch is nearly complete. Piers all done. Pier caps for track reversal, all done as well.

Mostly, 7 Span Erection sections left :

1 - near Lemon Tree Junction
2 - from HITEC City towards Trident
4 - for Track reversal, mostly one's over bridge and later portion towards Trident.

These should be done in a month or two.

The station works are in full swing. They're erecting walls and building pillars for stairs, elevators on either sides of station. Work on station roof has not started yet. June/Early July could be possible, if they continue same pace.

Madhapur Metro Station to open on Saturday
The Jubilee Hills checkpost metro station, which is still closed for passengers, is expected to be opened by the end of May.

Hyderabad: The Madhapur Metro Rail station on the Ameerpet-Hitec City route will be opened for passengers on Saturday, according to Hyderabad Metro Rail limited (HMRL). The Jubilee Hills checkpost metro station, which is still closed for passengers, is expected to be opened by the end of May.

Initially when the 10-kilometre Ameerpet-Hitec City route was launched on March 20, three stations including Jubilee Hills checkpost, Peddammagudi and Madhapur were not opened for public. Much to the relief of passengers, on March 30, the HMRL authorities opened Peddammagudi Metro station.

Currently, the services on the route are being operated under ‘twin single line method’ as construction of reverse facility beyond Hitec City station in front of Cyber Towers and Hotel Trident is likely to be completed in a couple of months.

The frequency of trains on the route is maintained between nine and 12 minutes, as against six minutes frequency on the other Metro corridors. Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) officials expect the patronage to increase further once the first and last mile connectivity was established.

Seriously HMRL should now focus on introducing six car trains looking at the rush. Any updates on JBS MGBS line.

Looking at the heavy rush, curious to know whether the Hyd Metro figures crossed the 3 lakh count per day?

Rush is partly due to more commuters.
Rush may also be partly due to frequency of ten to twelve minutes. Maybe, near about three lakh figure.

Very good estimate of completion of viaduct works up to track reversal. L&T reported that erection work of seventeen spans (441-424) need to be done to complete via duct up to Raidurgam station. Seventeen includes seven up to the reversal. Wishing L&T to finish it off quickly.

17 might be an older figure. There are only 7 spans pending between Hi Tech metro station and Raidurgam new station.

Hyderabad | Metro | హైదరాబాద్ మెట్రో

Hyderabad: Metro Rail in Old City soon, notices issued to property owners
Hyderabad: Metro Rail service will soon be made available to the residents of the Old City of Hyderabad. In this connection, officials of GHMC have already issued notices to property owners whose houses and shops are likely to be acquired for providing the service.

It was reported that two property owners made an attempt to approach the court of law but the court did not entertain their petitions since GHMC issued notices under the Right to Acquisition of Property for Public Services Act. This act empowers the government to takeover any private property in public interest.

It may be mentioned that construction of metro railway line in Old City is the last phase of the project. However, officials of metro rail project have already started construction to connect Mahatma Gandhi Bus station to Falaknuma via Darulshifa.

Officials of GHMC also informed that positive reaction has been observed in connection with surrendering the properties presently occupied by Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority, GHMC etc., which are under the Department of Municipal Administration.

Attempts are being made to resolve the matter at the level of Principal Secretaries. The officials of Metro Rail Project also informed that after shifting the office of QQDA from Darulshifa, metro rail station will be constructed. The proposals have already been sent to Dept. of Municipal Administration. It is expected that orders will be issued for shifting of the office of QQDA within a week to enable metro rail project to acquire the land.

L&T's project status report was as on 31/03/2019. It's official fortnightly report. I will be quite happy if seven spans are only to be completed in the stretch between Hitech station and the last terminal station at Raidurgam. I can't physically verify the correctness of the official website report.
